As you may notice in Seventeen's previous promotions, Oh My! and Getting Closer, you can see a lot of sunflowers. And those sunflowers are also can be seen in Seventeen's teaser for their upcoming comeback.

So I concluded that these sunflowers have a big role, judging by how they have been appearing since Oh My! era.
We all know how Sunflowers always face towards the sun.
This means that the person who has the sunflowers can be interpreted as the sun, while the others will follow them unconditionally. Which means that, the sunflowers represent the members!
By 'following', I mean like how puppies look lost and uneasy when they're not with their owners.
In Oh My! MV, the only members who touched the sunflowers were Mingyu and S.Coups.
First of all, when S.Coups had the sunflower, all the members moved at the same time.
And in Getting Closer MV, all of the members except for S.Coups were seen sleeping, as if they followed S.Coups direction.

But once S.Coups fell asleep, the other members surround me and didn't do anything besides staring at him.
When S.Coups opened his eyes, there were sun flowers all around him.
This means, the sun is S.Coups while the sunflowers are the members.
This means that, those who holds the sunflower wants the members to follow him.
The other person is Mingyu!
The only scene you can see him with the sunflower is the scene where he threw the sunflowers.
At that moment, everyone besides Mingyu stayed still, as if they were following Mingyu's command.
In Getting Closer MV, Mingyu was the only one who's awake. You can see sunflowers in front of him.
It means that he wants to take control of the members using the sunflowers.
But judging by how he looked upset in the MV, it seems like it didn't work as well as it worked with S.Coups.
(It also means that he forcefully makes the members follow his command)

And the last person would be Wonwoo!
Seems like Wonwoo wants to take control as well.
But unlike Mingyu and S.Coups who used sunflower, he uses 'Cube' to take control of the members forcefully.
You can see it from how he has a 'special choreography' in Oh My! and the scene where he held cube in Getting Closer MV.
He doesn't make the members follow him, but instead he forcefully takes control of the members.
The problem is, the members 'broke' when he tried to take control of them using the cube.
It can be seen in this scene where Wonwoo sat in front of the cubes and the chairs around him were messy.
If you take a closer look, there were 12 chairs here.
In the similar scene, Mingyu can be seen holding a sunflower and the chairs around him were set up in lines.
And before this scene, the members were sitting on these chairs which means the chairs represent the members.
You can conclude that when someone takes control of the members using the sunflowers, the members wouldn't 'break' (like how they break when the cube is used)
The members fight to take the sunflowers,
and in their upcoming MV they would reveal who would win and get the sunflower.

Here you can see that it's S.Coups vs Wonwoo vs Mingyu.
(If they're really separating the whole group into three different teams,
it could be related with how Mingyu threw three sunflowers and how Wonwoo had 3 cubes (black, white, and grey) in the MV!)
