In Episode 9 of tvN’s weekend drama 'When the Stars Gossip' (written by Seo Sookhyang, directed by Park Shinhow, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by KeyEast and MYM Ent), Gong Ryong (Lee Minho) and Eve Kim (Gong Hyojin), who had been stranded at a space station, successfully returned to Earth thanks to the efforts of the ground control team, bringing joy to viewers.

While Gong Ryong and Eve were trapped in the damaged space station, trying to survive by sharing body heat, the ground control team on Earth worked together to bring them safely. Astronaut Park Dongah insisted on piloting the Maru spacecraft to rescue them, even though the spacecraft hadn't completed its tests yet. Meanwhile, Dr. Donna Lee (Lee Chohee), Han Siwon (Lee Hyunkyun), and Ma Eunsoo (Park Yeyoung) tried to find the fastest route to the space station. Kang Kangsoo purchased a robotic arm to assist with docking at the damaged space station, while Chief Kang Taehee (Lee El) obtained permission from neighboring countries and prepared for departure.

MZ Group heiress Choi Goeun (Han Jieun), space scientist Mina Lee (Lee Chohee), and Lee Seungjun (Heo Namjun), who had already arrived on Earth, monitored the entire process from the ground control center, adding to the anticipation of the rescue mission’s outcome.

'When the Stars Gossip' hits another shockingly low rating of 1% ... Falling behind 'Check-in Hanyang'

'When the Stars Gossip' has once again recorded viewer ratings in the 1% range.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 7 of tvN's weekend drama 'When the Stars Gossip' (Written by Seo Sookhyang, directed by Park Shinwoo), which aired on January 25, recorded viewer ratings based on cable households of 1.8%.

This is a 1.1% point lower than Episode 6, which aired on January 19, that achieved viewer ratings of 2.9%. It also ties the drama's lowest-ever viewer ratings.

Despite starting off with viewer ratings of 3.3% on January 4, 'When the Stars Gossip' has since struggled to maintain its audience, with viewer ratings of 3.9% for Episode 2, 2.2% for Episode 3, 2.8% for Episode 4, 1.8% for Episode 5 and 7. 'When the Stars Gossip' placed last in terms of viewer ratings among all the dramas that aired that day.

KBS2 TV's weekend drama 'Iron Family' which is set to end on January 26 took the top spot in overall viewer ratings with 18.3%, followed by SBS' weekend drama 'Love Scout' with viewer ratings of 10.9%.

JTBC's weekend drama 'The Tale of Lady Ok' which is also set to end on January 26 showed strong performance with viewer ratings of 10.2%. Meanwhile, Channel A's weekend drama 'Check-in Hanyang' recorded viewer ratings of 2.262%.

MBC's weekend drama 'Motel California' also struggled, managing to record viewer ratings of 3.4%, joining 'When the Stars Gossip' in underwhelming performance.

A disgusting scene from today's episode of 'When the Stars Gossip'

The male lead, a gynecologist, is performing ICSI (a procedure where a single sperm is directly injected into an egg). In the drama, there are few remaining eggs, and he must succeed.

Normally, this is done using a microscope, but due to circumstances, he can't use one and has to do it manually.

Then, an expensive CG scene shows a pipette flailing around the egg

But in the end, he accidentally destroys the egg, and the scene that follows is...

An egg cracked into a frying pan with the yolk bursting as it lands..............
