Ahead the first anniversary of Barbie Hsu's passing on February 2nd, recent whereabouts of Clon's Goo Junyeop surfaced online.
On the 29th, KBS2's 'Celeb Secret' released a video titled 'Latest news of Goo Junyeop, who stays by his wife Barbie Hsu's side whether it rains or snow.'
It is reported that since his wife Barbie Hsu passed away, Goo Junyeop has stopped all activities and visits his wife's grave every single day.
In the video, Goo Junyeop is seen spending time at his wife's grave to honor her. A citizen who saw him said in an interview, "He placed photos and framed pictures of himself with Barbie Hsu in front of the tombstone. He also kept playing videos of her on a tablet PC."
Taiwanese citizens expressed sympathy for Goo Junyeop's unchanging love and grief, saying, "He must be going through such a difficult time. I hope he stays strong," and "He looked very thin overall. He seems very different from how he looked before." I is known that Goo Junyeop has lost about 14kg since his wife passed away.
Meanwhile, Goo Junyeop and Barbie Hsu became a hot topic when they announced their marriage in February 2022. The two first met in 1998 and dated for about a year before breaking up. Barbie Hsu later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei and had a son and a daughter, but the couple divorced in 2021. After hearing the news of her divorce, Goo Junyeop reached out to her, and the two reunited after 23 years. They then registered their marriage and became husband and wife.
However, in February last year, Barbie Hsu suddenly passed away due to complications from pneumonia while on a family trip to Japan. After the cremation process was completed in Japan, she was laid to rest in the rose Garden at the Chin Pao San Memorial Park in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Deeply saddened, Goo Junyeop has stopped all activities to remember his wife. Recently, it was reported that Goo Junyeop finished a memorial statue he designed and built himself ahead of the first anniversary of her passing. The statue was placed in Chin Pao San Memorial Park in Taiwan and an unveiling ceremony is scheduled to be held on the first anniversary of her passing, on February 2nd.
