Upon reviewing the 1st and 2nd legal notices Gold Medalist sent to Kim Saeron, it was confirmed that the agency, which initially strongly urged (Kim Saeron) to repay the debt, slightly changed their stance after Kim Saeron posted her picture with Kim Soohyun, stating, "Let's have a discussion about the repayment and methods."
Among the 2 legal notices obtained by Hankyung.com on the 18th, the 1st notice contained the statement that said, "As the legal representative of our client, Gold Medalist, we hereby urge you to fulfill your debt repayment as follows." This legal notice was sent on 15 March 2024, addressed to Kim Saeron's legal name after he changed her name to 'Kim Ah-im.'
It continued, "You borrowed 686,409,654 KRW from our client on 22 November 2022 under a loan with an agreement to repay it by 31 December 2023," and stated, "You failed to repay the loan even after the due date arrived." The notice added, "Therefore, on behalf of our client, we urge you to repay the full amount of the loan to the account specified below as soon as possible. If you fail to do so, we inform you that our client will take civil and criminal legal action against you."
Kim Saeron's family revealed that she received a 2nd legal notice following this, and disclosed the content of it.
On March 25, Kim Soohyun's legal representative sent another legal notice stating, "Through the legal notice dated March 15, we have already urged repayment of the debt," and explained, "The reason for urging debt repayment is that if our client's agency does not collect the debt despite the due date, there is a possibility that the agency's executives may be charged with breach of trust."
They also added, "Regarding the difficulty you expressed, we are willing to proactively discuss the method and timing of the debt repayment with you. We hope you will suggest a possible debt repayment schedule to our law firm."
Furthermore, the legal notice also emphasized that Kim Saeron should refrain from contacting Gold Medalist's executives and actors regarding debt repayment.
The also mentioned the drama 'Quen of Tears,' in which Kim Soohyun was starring in at that time, referring to the photo Kim Saeron posted on her social media.
Kim Soohyun's legal representative pointed out, "The concerned actor is currently starring in a drama that is airing, so your actions could impact not only the actor and our client's agency, but also the drama production company, other cast members, staff, broadcasting stations, OTT platforms, and other related parties. This is a significant matter that can lead to major legal issues."
They continued, "We urge you to refrain from actions that can cause significant disruption to the business of our client's company and related parties, like what you did on March 24."
In the 1st legal notice, Kim Soohyun's side showed a strong stance, but in the 2nd legal notice, they included polite expressions and requests. This suggests that after Kim Saeron leaked the photo, there was a subtle change in Kim Soohyun's side, leading to their willingness to discuss repayment in a more forward-looking manner.
However, lawyer Boo Jiseok, the legal representative of Kim Saeron's family, argued, "Although they mention that they had no choice because it could lead to a breach of trust, the notice essentially says that they would extend the deadline."
Boo further stated, "They threatened her to refrain from contacting the actors under Kim Soohyun's agency and to take legal action regarding the photo she posted," emphasizing that it was intimidation. Kim Saeron's side also revealed that after the 2nd legal notice, Kim Soohyun never contacted her again.
In response, Kim Saeron’s family has hinted at taking legal action against Kim Soohyun.
-Whoa... That's really mean. How could he do that?
-I feel like throwing up.
-They were in a relationship for so long, did he really think there wouldn't be any evidence..?
-I mean... Why is he making someone else compensate for his own mistakes?ㅋ Who taught him to do that?
-He has so much money and he still did that...
-I think he could be sued for blackmailing.
-Don't you dare to think about dying. You better beg for forgiveness and accept your punishment.
-Why the hell is he telling her not to contact anyone?
-I never liked Kim Soohyun since the first time I saw him. I'm so proud for the fact that I never watched any of his works. He's just evil at his core.
-I wish there were punishments for people who just file lawsuits to torment others.
-Looks like he won't apologize even if he dies. I've lost all the remaining respect I had for him. They just wanted an apology, not a settlement. Kim Soohyun and his family can go straight to hell.
-I guess you have to be this shameless to commit child sex crimes.
-Objectively speaking, they're just stating facts.
-I feel really sorry for Saeron.
-ㅋㅋ If you were Saeron's parent, would you agree to negotiate? ㅋㅋ
