A legal expert shares their opinions on the reason why Jung Woosung, who recently admitted being the biological father of Moon Gabi's son, chooses not to marry, "It is because of the huge risks in asset division in case of divorce."

Jung Woosung has two ways to take responsibility for the child. The first option is to marry (Moon Gabi) and take responsibility for the child. The lawyer explained the financial reasoning behind this choice, saying, "Let me do some calculations. Based on a blog post from 2021, Jung Woosung earns over 700 Million KRW per CF shoot. His ad revenue exceeds 40 Billion KRW, and his real estate holdings are valued at over 20 Billion KRW. Even with a rough estimation, his total assets are around 600 Billion KRW. Of course, he would've lived just fine if he chose to get married. However, in case of a divorce after 5 years, he would have to give 30% of his assets or 180 Billion KRW. After 10 years, the asset division would be around 300 Billion KRW. While people with this much wealth don’t typically have to give up such a high percentage, they would still likely have to part with close to 100 Billion KRW."
He continued, "However, if he doesn’t marry and only provides child support, even at the highest income level, the amount would likely not exceed 3 Million KRW per month. Even with 3 Million KRW, by the time the child becomes an adult, that’s only 72 Million KRW. Honestly, would Jung Woosung only give his child 3 Million KRW per month? Even if he gives 10 to 20 Million KRW per month, it’s still far less expensive. Unless he’s a fool, marriage is just a much bigger risk."
