A man who created and distributed sexually exploitative materials by editing the faces of members of famous idol groups such as Aespa, LE SSERAFIM, and NewJeans onto nude photos has been sentenced to prison with a suspended sentence.

According to legal sources on the 25th, the Uijeongbu District Court sentenced A, who was indicted without detention for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (editing and fabrication of false videos), to 1 year and 6 months in prison, suspended for 3 years.

The court also ordered A to complete 40 hours of lectures about sexual violence treatment and a 5-year employment ban at institutions related to children, adolescents, and the disabled. 

A is accused of operating a Telegram chat room or about 4 months since December 2024. During this time, he allegedly created and posted over 300 fabricated videos by editing the faces of famous celebrities and his acquaintances onto nude photos. The content reportedly included members of popular idol groups such as Aespa, LE SSERAFIM, and NewJeans.

The court pointed out, "A committed serious wrongdoing by creating and posting fabricated videos capable of causing sexual humiliation to female celebrities and acquaintances for his own sexual satisfaction and vanity. The damage is significant given the possibility that these videos could be distributed indiscriminately."

The court also explained its reasoning behind the sentencing, saying, "The sentence was determined after considering all relevant circumstances. He reached a settlement with some of the victims. He is also a a first-time offender and he did not obtain financial gain from this."

Hello, this is Source Music.

We would like to clarify and correct the false claims among the contents regarding our company and artists that were raised today.

LE SSERAFIM did not receive any special treatment or unfair advantages in the process of being selected as an ambassador for a specific brand. Their connection with the brand began in April 2022 when Sakura signed a contract with them. Following the satisfying result, a discussion of expanding the ambassadorship to a team-level was initiated through the brand's Japan office, and it eventually was agreed upon. This process was completely unrelated to any other artists. We have objective evidence to prove this and are fully prepared to provide legal explanations at any time if necessary.

Additionally, the claims regarding NewJeans’ debut timeline and process are also very different from the actual facts. Our company fully supported NewJeans members in their debut preparations until they were transferred to ADOR. However, former ADOR CEO Min Heejin spread false information during her press conference last April. In response, we filed a damages lawsuit against former CEO Min Heejin last July and the case is currently ongoing. We deeply regret that these one-sided claims were made without any effort to verify the facts and we expect that these claims will be corrected through future trials.

Mentioning an artist's real name based on unconfirmed and inaccurate information is an irresponsible and serious act that shouldn't be done to any artist. One-sided claims like this not only cause fellow artists to receive criticism, but also create misconceptions among fans and the public, and there's also a risk of creating an environment where unfounded rumors spread uncontrollably.

We take this situation very seriously and will take all necessary legal actions to address it.

What makes it worse is that today is Heo Yunjin’s birthday, and LE SSERAFIM's intl fans are angry, asking why she would do this on her birthday and telling others to stop using the boycott excuse to harass idols.

Early in the FIFTY FIFTY controversy, large Kpop accounts with many followers took a stance supporting the three members who left, so the intl fandom still has a boycotting attitude towards the new FIFTY FIFTY lineup. Whenever idols, including Yunjin, show any positive reaction towards the new FIFTY FIFTY, they would tell them to boycott the group and stuffs🤦‍♀️

I don’t support FIFTY FIFTY, but some Kpop fans need to understand that YES, the person you like knows about the boycott, but no one in Korea is actually boycotting. Since Korea supports FIFTY FIFTY, it’s not surprising that Kpop idols would support the new lineup.

Even when reasonable international fans explain that no one in Korea is boycotting FIFTY FIFTY and that the three members lost the preliminary injunction case, some still believe the Korean courts manipulated the outcome. (Surprisingly, this is true..) There seem to be more international fans like this than expectedㅠ

To me, it's an absolutely great part ㅋㅋㅋ Honestly, I was a bit surprised at first, but later I found myself eagerly waiting for it every time I listen to the song. It's addictive..

Comments on LE SSERAFIM Kazuha's recording video.

1. Kazuha seems to have a strong desire to learn, so if she's taught well, her skills would probably improve a lotㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But first, let's fire that vocal coach, HYBE.

2. Watching this, I'm wondering what that vocal trainer even does? I don't know if it's because she's under pressure from the higher-ups or something, but she's not giving (Kazuha) any proper feedback. It's not like she's a therapist or anything, she only focuses on mental care ... (Contd)

3. Her answers to Kazuha's questions are lacking substance...;;

4. Kazuha had an objective view of her own skills, but the vocal trainer is just repeating what she said... I think Kazuha was asking to be taught how to sing with an accent. 

5. It's just like a math tutor saying 'You'll understand if you solve more problems' when you tell her you're having difficulties solving a problem 

6. Kazuha did pure arts before, therefore I'm sure she should have some level of metacognition. But after her successful debut, she's only been hearing praises from those around her, and this leaves her feeling confused. 

As we all know, Kazuha almost didn't have a trainee period and debuted right away. She quickly caught up in dancing due to her ballet experience, but she probably felt she was lacking in vocals. So she consulted the vocal trainer, but she just brushed it off, saying everything’s fine. Is this right? I felt like if Kazuha was taught properly, her skills would improve a lot, but it seems the company isn’t supporting her enough.

+ Once again, I didn’t write this to bash the vocal trainer. And I’m not a LE SSERAFIM fan either. I wrote this because I think the trainer is following the company’s guidelines.

 In LE SSERAFIM's documentary, the dance trainer gives very harsh feedback. If the member is not doing well, they would say it directly without beating around the bush, unlike the vocal trainer. 

++ Some people say the vocal trainer can’t give harsh feedback because it’s being recorded, but the dance trainer gives such harsh feedback it makes the members cry, while in the vocal trainer just say things like "it’s okay, you’re doing well."

-I don't understand why HYBE doesn't invest in vocal trainings when they have so much money. I know vocal training is the most expensive, but it's not like the company can't afford it.

-They have a lot of money, but can’t bring in a famous vocal coach from abroad? That would probably lead to improvement, thoughㅋㅋㅋ

-YG seems to have strict vocal trainings. If Kazuha had gone to a company that cared about vocal training, she would’ve found her vocal range and improved her skills… Kazuha’s voice tone is nice.

-An expert should point out the areas that need improvement. There's no way their skills will improve if their trainers give that kind of feedback. It’s frustrating.

-She has a good voice, so they should teach her better.

-When I watched the documentary, I felt it was strange how the trainers didn't really give a proper answer to her question...ㅠㅠ Even though I know it is a directed documentary.

-How can you know anything from watching that one-minute video? She’s probably still receiving training, and there have likely been many conversations in between. Are you trying to criticize someone based on that brief clip?

-Maybe the trainer didn’t want to point out Kazuha’s vocal weaknesses in front of the camera to protect her. Given that they’re already getting criticized for their live performances, they probably know her mental state is fragile. But this is just my opinion, so it might not be true.

-I feel like Kazuha could do really well because she has a very nice voice tone.

-Personally, I think Kazuha has a strong voice and good vocal technique, so with a lot of practice and refinement, she could improve.

LE SSERAFIM to Make Comeback at the End of August... Continuing the Streak of 'Mega Hits'

The group LE SSERAFIM is coming back.

According to a report from SPOTV News on the 28th, LE SSERAFIM is preparing for a comeback aimed at the end of August.

This comeback will be about six months since LE SSERAFIM released their third mini-album 'EASY' in February.

LE SSERAFIM has been continuously releasing hit songs like 'FEARLESS', 'ANTIFRAGILE', 'UNFORGIVEN', 'PERFECT NIGHT', and 'EASY'.

Source Music Ent. requested the court for a Youtube user's personal information, but got rejected

 

It seems like it must've been rejected because unlike Sojang, the account they reported only posted criticism videos such as plagiarism and their live singing skills controversy.

An application was filed for an order to allow evidence to be shared with a foreign court, targeting Google LLC, under 28 USC § 1782. The application was submitted by Hong Eunchae, Nakamura Kazuha, Jennifer Heo Yunjin, Kim Chaewon, and Miyawaki Sakura on May 31, 2024.

On June 5, 2024, Judge Edward J. Davila denied the application to share evidence with the foreign court.

Source Music requested personal information from the U.S. court on May 31 about two YouTube channels, Issue Feed and Short Chajang, but it was rejected.

The date of rejection is June 5.

I'm correcting the agency name to avoid getting sued again.

"I thought girl groups only used iPhones" ... LE SSERAFIM boldly advertised Galaxy smartphones

 HYBE's rising girl group, LE SSERAFIM, gained attention as they openly endorsed Galaxy smartphones as they arrived at the airport. In contrast to their usual preference to use iPhones, LE SSERAFIM's members were spotted using the latest Galaxy smartphones such as Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 5. 

On the 8th, LE SSERAFIM departed from Incheon International Airport for Los Angeles to attend Coachella, the largest music festival in the United States, scheduled for the 13th and 20th. On this day, LE SSERAFIM's members focused on promoting their Galaxy smartphones rather than showcasing their airport fashion like celebrities usually do. The five members were seen holding Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in front of the press photographers. 

As a result, netizens suggested that Samsung had sponsored Galaxy smartphones for LE SSERAFIM. However, it is known that it was not Samsung, but Google Korea who endorsed Galaxy smartphones to LE SSERAFIM's members. 

When asked about the future collaboration between LE SSERAFIM and Google, a HYBE representative refused to comment, stating it's "confidential." Similarly, Google Korea only stated that they were "internally verifying," without providing a clear answer.
