A top student who always ranked first in her school and served as the student council's vice president chose the path of an idol. This is the story of Park Sohyun from the 24-member girl group, tripleS.

Recently, we met Park Sohyun at Modhaus office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Although it hasn't been long since her comeback promotions ended, Park Sohyun is spending her days busily, juggling between songwriting and other activities. She was just as diligent during her school years. She shared, "When I was in school, I mainly took on roles like the vice president of student council. In middle school, I ranked first in my entire school."

Because she was such an outstanding student, her parents hoped she would enroll in a Foreign Language High School rather than dreaming of becoming an idol or focusing on dance practice. Park Sohyun shared, "I attended an English academy and prepared to enroll to a foreign language high school, but it just didn't suit me. I didn't feel like it was something that I wanted to do."

Park Sohyun made a quick decision. She said, "I told my parents, 'I don't think I'll be happy even if I go to a foreign language high school. I'm going to do what I want to do.'" She continued, "I'm not the type of person who does things halfway. So, from that point on, I completely let go of my studies." She added, "I had pride. I was stubborn. I thought, 'If I'm gonna do this, I have to be #1. Otherwise, I won't do it at all.' Now that I think of it, I shouldn't have given up on my studies entirely. But I believe that decision is what brought me here today."

Meanwhile, tripleS recently promoted as new dimension, msnz. The members were divided into 4 units, Moon, Sun, Neptune, and Zenith, each showing different charms. Their new album 'Beyond Beauty' surpassed 360,000 copies in the first week of release. After finishing their comeback promotions, tripleS is currently expanding their activities to Japan and continues to promote actively there.

Let's just think about it simply. The reason why fans become fans is because of (the idols)' realistic side. 

Would fans prefer to see her eating the same things we do like Gukbap? Or would fans prefer to see her eating asparagus, something that they have never even seen in real life, and two pieces of meat that cost 80,000 KRW?

The answer is obvious, right?

Of course, it's not like they'd criticize her, stop being a fan, or stop buying Objekts just because she eats pasta. But it's natural for fans to like her less after this.

You keep getting criticized for your tone, skills, and communications with fans. Especially considering how you cried at the end of the last live broadcast you did in 2023 with the other members, you even shed tears because you were so grateful to your Unnies. I hope you'll take a moment to think how much you've changed in just a year.

And, to be a bit cold and harsh, I want you to know that the fandom doesn't always look at you positively. Of course, there are fans who don't feel this way, but how many people truly believe that you're where you are today solely because of your hard work and talent?

It was a moment of choice, an opportunity, and a bit of luck. Even if it's too late now, I hope you won't disappoint the fans who support you. With 2025 ahead, treat this as a fresh start. I hope you'll take your role as an idol more seriously, work harder, and look up to the talented members of the group. Show us your dedication, Yeonji-ya. Please, I'm begging you.

Since she's been gaining positive responses for her new hairstyle, I'm posting pictures of her + the reason why she cuts her hair shortㅎㅎㅎㅎ

The reason why I cut my hair short is because the meaning of this album is to break the stereotypes that girls have about their appearance and to show that you can be yourself in any form.

A group called TripleS released a song called "Girls Never Die," which resonated with many teenage girls.

Recently, the company announced the <We Never Die> project, where profits from their photocards (seemingly digital) sales would be donated to a women's support project...

This one is really not it. Anyone can see the clear agenda here. Women's support - it's said to be mostly feminist organizations and that's true, this isn't rightㅠ

Xinyu: Breaking news. This is truly breaking news. The HAUS self-regulation during non-active periods is going to be implemented. Huh? What does this mean?

Sohyun: This might come as a bit of a surprise to WAVs, but we found it quite challenging to manage with all 24 of us living in 3-4 houses as we promote. While we absolutely enjoy and love being together, realistically there are some practical difficulties. So, during non-active periods, we'll be allowed to stay wherever we prefer.

Dahyun: That's right! During active periods, we'll all gather and live together. The company and we discussed this and decided to make things more comfortable. For now, who will be living independently?

Jiwoo: For now, Hyerin, Yuyeon, Sohyun, and I will be living outside HAUS. However, since we have a lot of activities more than expected, we'll probably be moving back and forth frequently. More members are likely to live independently in the future, and we’ll continue to share and discuss these updates with our WAVs.

I'm following her group because I really like their song. I was really surprised to learn that she's Bibi's little sister. I don't think I'd know they were siblings if no one told me. They look really different. The two of them are beautiful and charming in their own way.

 I was interested and liked her because she was known for her resemblance to Jung Chaeyeon + her innocent looks + being a smart Ehwa University student. On top of that, she always ranked high in My Teenage Era. I learned that she debuted in Triple S, a girl group with 24 members?? I heard they're also having a comeback soon?

But why does she look different now... The innocence that people love about her has disappeared now. She looked prettier before, it suited Yooyeon's image better... Maybe her company ordered her to get her face fixed? Or did she change her makeup style?
