The informant who filmed this video is learning Korean and was delighted to engage in conversation upon seeing Jung Joonyoung and his friends using Korean.

During their interaction, another companion mentioned, "He is a famous singer in Korea," and they recognized him as Jung Joonyoung from the 'Burning Sun Gate' scandal.

Subsequently, they communicated with Jung Joonyoung via social media, where Jung Joonyoung introduced himself as "Jun from Boston." He mentioned, "I am a lyricist and composer," and said, "I will soon open a Korean restaurant in Lyon."

After Jung Joonyoung's presence in France became known, Jung Joonyoung deactivated his social media account with the statement, "I only asked people to be friends, but I am very disappointed."

The informant expressed concern about the outpouring of violent comments but explained why they shared Jung Joonyoung's recent whereabouts. "He hasn't changed at all," they said, "A five-year imprisonment cannot change a person, and I dislike the fact that he has no intention of leaving the music industry."

It was traumatic for me. However, the reason behind my participation in the documentary was the persuasion of the production team." Kang recalled the words of the production team, stating, "K-pop is really popular in Europe. If K-pop truly wants to expand globally, we need to address past events like these that have occurred in the K-pop industry." She added, "I strongly empathized with the idea that we need to address such scandal for further development (of K-pop)"

Journalist Kang also shared her thoughts on Goo Hara's contribution, which gained the most attention in the documentary. She said, "Goo Hara played a crucial role in exposing the relationship between Seungri, Jung Joonyoung, and the police. I was very concerned about how her family would perceive this. After sexually assaulting women who lost their consciousness, Jung Joonyoung said, 'This is the funniest night in my entire life'

 

The incident took place in March 2016, and there was a fan signing event for Jung Jun-young in Daegu on that day. The day before, there was an incident where a woman was gang-raped in a hotel near the venue.

This woman was subjected to a group rape by Jung and Choi in the presence of other friends in the controversial chatroom.

As she digs deeper into the matter, reporter Kang came across shocking conversation contents involving the gang rape of a woman who lost consciousness after hitting her head, which was revealed to have occurred in a group setting.

One man in the chatroom confessed, "I got so scared yesterday. I heard her skull cracking when she fell." Jung Joonyoung responded, "It was the most fun night I've ever had in my entire life."

In fact, most of their fans are women. Yet, here they are treating women like toys, humiliating and despising them, making them powerless, and openly expressing contempt towards them. They shamelessly brag about these things among themselves as if it were some sort of truth, joking and laughing about it.

A and Jung had always been close. Even when drunk, A believed he would take care of her and never expected such a terrible crime. Kim, one of the group chat members, was also present at the scene of the crime. Kim was also a close friend of A. The group chat members, along with A and her friends, were at a club together before moving to a hotel to continue drinking.

They thoroughly trampled on A's trust. While Jung and Choi committed the crime against A, Kim and Heo watched. Furthermore, according to Jung's statement, Kim and Heo laughed out loud, saying, "Let me join in, let's do it together," instead of discouraging them, as if asking to be included in the game. Kim even filmed the crime scene, and a flash went off during the process.

A stated, "I was so drunk that I barely remember, but it felt like I was being dragged and followed into the hotel. The next day, I woke up naked with Choi Jonghoon lying next to me. The men were saying things like 'Look for your underwear' and 'Let's have sex,' which made me feel ashamed. So, I fled from the hotel."

A first contacted lawyer Bang Jung-hyun, who reported the incident, specifying the date and location of the incident. As a result, it was confirmed that there was one recorded audio file and six photos in the group chat from that time.

Jung and Choi were found guilty of the charges of group rape. However, Kim and Heo were found innocent because the evidence against them consisted solely of group chat conversations. 

Jung Joonyoung went to a fan signing even a few hours after committing the crime.

Currently, both Choi Jonghoon and Jung Joonyoung have been released from prison.

Here, it is perceived that a friend of Jung and Choi from the chatroom is raping an unconscious woman.

In January 2016, in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, Mr. Kwon sexually assaulted another woman who was in a state of incapacity, to the extent she urinated on the floor, because the woman he initially intended to assault vomited severely on the bed. The court, considering Mr. Kwon's previous sexual offense history, issued a three-year probation order upon release, because he might do the same offense again.

From Seungri, Yong Junhyung to Choi Jonghoon, Close Friends Emerging Ahead of Jung Joon-young's Release

 

"Former Sexual Offender Jung Joon-young's Close Friends Resuming Activities Ahead of His Release

Jung Joon-young was arrested and indicted in March 2019, following revelations of his involvement in two instances of group sexual assault on an intoxicated woman in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, in January 2016, and in Daegu in March of the same year. In addition to secretly filming sexual encounters and sharing them with numerous acquaintances in both group and private chat rooms (illegal distribution of filmed materials), Jung Joon-young faced charges.

In November 2019, Jung Joon-young was sentenced to six years in prison in the first trial but appealed the decision. In the second trial held in 2020, the appellate court reduced the sentence to five years, granting a one-year reduction.

Both Jung Joon-young and the prosecution expressed dissatisfaction with the second trial verdict. The Supreme Court, in its appellate review held in September 2020, upheld the five-year prison sentence, consistent with the second trial. As a result, Jung Joon-young concludes his imprisonment on March 20th."

Public sentiment remains cold. Understandably so, as Choi Jong-hoon is a sex offender charged with group sexual assault on a woman twice while intoxicated in 2016, along with Jung Joon-young. Choi Jong-hoon was sentenced to five years in prison in the first trial in November 2019 but had his sentence reduced to 2 years and 6 months in the appellate trial. After serving a prison term of 2 years and 6 months, he was released in November 2021.

After his release, it seemed he was focusing on religious activities with his mother, but eventually, he laid the groundwork for entertainment industry activities, causing many K-pop fans to furrow their brows.

Seungri, formerly of the group Big Bang and a close friend of Jung Joon-young in the past, has been enjoying various events and entertainment in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Singapore, and Cambodia. In late 2018, Seungri resigned from the position of an executive director at the club Burning Sun amid a series of suspicions. In March 2019, with mounting controversies surrounding Burning Sun, he announced his departure from the entertainment industry.

In January 2020, Seungri was indicted on a total of 8 charges, including prostitution mediation, violation of the Act on the Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), embezzlement in the line of duty, violations of the Food Sanitation Act, habitual gambling, and violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. While undergoing military trial after enlisting in March 2020, he faced additional allegations of special assault instruction. In August 2021, he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in the first trial, including the new charge. Although he appealed, in May 2022, the Supreme Court upheld convictions on all 9 charges. Another close friend of Jung Joon-young, singer Yong Junhyung, received and shared secretly filmed sexual encounter videos taken by Jung Joon-young in a one-on-one chatroom in 2015, engaging in inappropriate conversations. After three years of controversy, in November 2022, Yong Junhyung resumed his activities by releasing the solo album 'LONER.'

Initially denying the allegations of receiving secretly filmed videos from Jung Joon-young, Yong Junhyung hinted at legal actions, but three days later, he reversed his position, staged a dramatic reversal, and issued an apology. At that time, Yong Junhyung, through his agency, stated, "In late 2015, after having drinks with Jung Joon-young, the next day through a one-on-one chatroom, I found out about the fact that an illicit video was taken. Subsequently, I saw the illicit video shared in the one-on-one chatroom and engaged in inappropriate conversations about it." As a result of this incident, he left Highlight (formerly BEAST), the group he was a part of at the time, in March 2019.

On January 18, he publicly announced a romantic relationship by sharing a date photo with singer HyunA on his official account. In March 2019, Eddy Kim was investigated by the police for violating the Information and Communication Network Act related to the distribution of obscene materials and was subsequently referred to the prosecution.
