2NE1's Sandara Park shared a bright update on her life despite recent rumors of conflict within her group and controversy surrounding drug allegations.
On the 12th, a video titled 'Gourmet Noh Heeyoung reveals the TOP 10 UK Restaurants' for the first time (2NE1 Sandara Park)' was posted on Youtube.
In the video, Noh Heeyoung introduced her guest by saying, "I invited my most beloved guest today," and Sandara Park greeted viewers with a bright smile, saying, "I'm the Advisor's daughter, Dara."
Noh Heeyoung revealed their close friendship, saying, "I'm close with Sandara Park. Our fashion tastes match and we both love eating and traveling. We've been to Japan, Thailand, the U.S., and Jeju Island together." She added affectionately, "She even came to my 60th birthday party in a Hanbok. She's practically my daughter."
She also explained how their relationship began. Noh Heeyoung stated, "When I worked at CJ, Mnet was doing 2NE1 TV. Watching Sandara Park debut back then made me feel so proud, as if I had debuted her myself. Since I've been watching her since then, she felt like my daughter." She added, "I was truly heartbroken when the group disbanded. We shared our feelings during that time and that naturally made us grow closer."
Sandara Park expressed her gratitude as well, saying, "It takes me 10 years to get close to someone. She takes care of me like she's my real mom. I often go to visit her without the other members. At some point, she became such a reliable presence to me, just like a mother." The two have maintained their bond for 17 years. Noh Heeyoung joked, "It's been a really long time. She was a baby back then, though she still seems like one now."
Sandara Park also shared an update about her activities, stating, "I'm releasing a new song. It's a solo album in a genre I've never tried before." Noh Heeyoung added, "She's always doing something. She's done musicals before. Instead of saying, 'I used to be in 2NE1,' she says, 'I was in 2NE1, but now I'm going to start a new path.' Since I've watched her for so long, I'm not surprised Dara is releasing a solo song. I'm really looking forward to it."
Meanwhile, fellow 2NE1 member Park Bom caused a stir on the 3rd by posting a handwritten letter on her social media accusing Sandara Park of using drugs.
In response, Sandara Park cautiously addressed the issue on her personal social media on the 4th, stating, "I have never used drugs. I hope she gets healthy." However, after the incident, it was revealed that Sandara Park, and later CL, had unfollowed Park Bom, leading fans to speculate about possible conflict within 2NE1.
