ZEROBASEONE Kim Gyuvin issues an apology to fans

Gyuvin: ZEROSES, I'm really sorry for upsetting you with what I said at today's filming...
I thought the people who came to the filming today might not know us well, but they welcomed us with enthusiasm that I couldn't even have imagined, so I became even more nervous.
So, without realizing it, instead of just expressing my gratitude, I compared it to the concert... It was something that I should never have done. I was thoughtless. I'm really sorry...
ZEROSES, you are so precious to me and you can't be compared to anyone else. I truly mean it. This incident made me realize that even more and I will make sure not to repeat this mistake.
I'm really sorry for hurting you.

Reason: During the filming of a variety show called 'School Attack,' he commented that the cheers were louder than at his own concert.

Some fans got upset because of it and it looks like he saw the fans' reactions.

theqoo

-?? His fans are seriously getting mad about this...??

-Poor guy...

-Oh my goodness... Why would they make him apologize for something like that?? Seriously, it seems like they're just nitpicking on him and taking out their anger on idols.

-This isn't something to apologize for. Being an idol must be really exhausting.

-I mean... Shouldn't fans be happy that their idol is being cheered for?? This level of stupidity is impressive.

-He was just doing his job, fss....

-Fans are getting mad at that?? Oh goodness... Are you even fans?? You losers...

-If you're getting upset over something like that, it might be better for you to take a break...

-I feel so f*cking sorry for idols.

-He was just obviously being politeㅋㅋㅋㅠ Poor thing...

-Realistically, would it actually be louder than a concert? It was just lip service.

-I’m genuinely worried about idols' mental health.

-Wow, people get upset over anything these days. Isn’t that kind of comment just basic manners?

-He shouldn’t have even responded to that...ㅠ

ZB1 Gyuvin and TWS Dohoon selected to be the new 'Show! Music Core' MCs ... The female MC is 'SM Rookies' HEARTS2HEARTS

As The Boyz's Younghoon, NMIXX's Sullyoon, and actor Lee Junha are stepping down as MCs of 'Show! Music Core' on the 15th, ZB1's Gyuvin and TWS' Dohoon have been chosen as the new MCs for the show.

According to Ilgan Sports on the 10th, Gyuvin and Dohoon are going to join as as the 24th generation MCs of 'Show! Music Core'. The female MC will be one of the members of SM Ent.'s new girl group, HEARTS2HEARTS, which is set to debut on the 24th. The three people are scheduled to start as MCs in March.

Gyuvin previously showcased his hosting skills as a special MC for 'Show! Music Core' for five weeks last August. He also recently expressed his affection for the show during a live broadcast, revealing that he had set a photo with Younghoon and Lee Jungha as his wallpaper from his special MC appearance. In particular, as ZB1's members Sung Hanbin and Han Yujin are respectively active as MCs in Mnet 'M Countdown' and SBS 'Inkigayo,' expectations are high for Gyubin’s skills on 'Show! Music Core.'

Dohoon, who debuted in TWS last January, was an MC for '2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon WANNABE' for two days on the 29th and 30th of last month. Dohoon is the first rookie to be selected as an MC for 'Gayo Daejejeon' just a year after debuting. In addition, Dohoon previously served as a special MC for 'Show! Music Core' twice in February and July, capturing viewers' hearts with his stable hosting skills.

One of the members of SM Entertainment's new girl group HEARTS2HEARTS, who is set to debut on the 24th with their first single 'The Chase,' also joins as an MC of 'Show! Music Core'. It is unusual for an idol to secure an MC position on a music show even before debuting.

theqoo

-Well... They're rookies. So of course, their company is going to push themㅋㅋ

-Dohoon-ah, congratulations! 💙

-Whoa... There are three music shows who have ZB1 members as their fixed MCs now.

-Whoa... That's f*cking impressive. They're really hiring a rookie who hasn't even debuted yet. I f*cking hate this.

-Oh, I’m curious which HEARTS2HEARTS member will be the MC!

-I thought TWS would push Shinyu more... But they're pushing Dohoon instead.

-I saw Dohoon on 'Show! Music Core' last time, and he was really good. Congrats!

-So CJ, HYBE, and SM all have MC spots each?

-Dohoon-ah, fighting!!!!!!!! Congratulations 💙

-'Show! Music Core' usually uses JYP idols as their MCs, but now there’s none at all.

-Wow, a rookie is being chosen as the MC for 'Show! Music Core'. That’s seriously enviable.

-Oh yeah, I forgot. Before HYBE, there was SM.

-Is an MC position on a music show really that big of a deal?

-This is why you should always go for a big company job.

-Big companies are the best… Just like how big corporations are better for employmentㅋㅋㅋ

NewJeans, despite being victims themselves, declined a collaboration to avoid potential harm to other victims mentioned in HYBE's internal report

To tell you a behind-the-scenes story of the 1st Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) held on the 16th: NewJeans had discussed a collaboration stage with ZEROBASEONE. However, since ZEROBASEONE was mentioned in HYBE's music industry report, NewJeans worried that performing together might cause harm unintentionally. After much deliberation, NewJeans declined the collaboration stage.

It's right to say that in this situation, the adults are worse than the children.

1. KGMA initially planned a NewJeans x ZEROBASEONE collaboration stage.

2. NewJeans declined the plan because they were concerned that ZEROBASEONE, who was mentioned in HYBE's report, might face further harm by performing on the same stage with them.

https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/241/0003396929

theqoo

-It's been a while since I've read a proper article.

-I agree. Those adults are worse than the kids. Instead of helping these young girls to achieve their dreams, they ruin them.

-Their mindset is truly different.

-Babies。° ૮₍°´ᯅ`°₎ა °。

-Not to mention those adults are twice the age of NewJeans members... HYBE, have some shame.

-ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Poor girls. I sincerely hope NewJeans escapes HYBE safely.

-They're the adult ones here... It's very contrasting to HYBE idols who mention the idols who are the victims of HYBE and claim that they actually like doing challenges.

-NewJeans is definitely better than the executives in Haboongie.

-The girls are so thoughtful...

-Praying for their safe escape. HYBE is just shameless.

-Fighting, NewJeans.

-Whoaㅠ What a shame... Please do it in another time!

-NewJeans, you guys are also the victims...ㅜㅜ

BOYNEXTDOOR promotes their new song during ZEROBASEONE's 1st place speech

After that one member finished his 1st place speech, another member of BOYNEXTDOOR said he had something to say and then proceeded to promote their new song.

The clip starts around 1:10.

The video was broadcast until the 3rd verse, so there was enough time for one more member to deliver a speech.

theqoo

-Isn't the normal thing is for the winner to give longer speech if there's extra time? I've never seen a group promoting their new song during another idol's 1st place speech.

-This was from a month ago...

-Why… do they do that?

-Why are they like this? How do they think like that?

-That's very typical of the group that boasted about their iPhones after breaking free from Galaxy.

-So they're that 'iPhone' group... *nods*

-Every time I see them on Theqoo, they always cause an issueㅋㅋㅋ

-So they're those guys...

-??? Why are they suddenly jumping in there?

-That's very rude.

-Judging from HYBE's leaked reports, they must be the group that's aiming to surpass ZEROBASEONEㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-That's very disrespectful of them. It's not like they're an indie band that doesn't have any other place to promote their song. Why did they do that...

-The way they smiled after promoting their song... I'm not even a fan of ZEROBASEONE, but this makes me feel annoyed.

-?? Why do that during someone else's 1st place speech;;

-That is very ill-mannered and inconsiderate.

-I'm not even a fan of ZEROBASEONE, but this makes me mad. If they did that during my fave's 1st place speech, I'd absolutely hate it

An agency facing a legal dispute with the fandom after losing gift from fans

is WAKEONE, a subsidiary label of CJ Ent.

-August 29 (Thu): An international fandom of a member arranged to ship custom-made in-ear monitors so that he can use them on the group's world tour (with prior agreement from the agency).

Hello, this is RICKY JP. The in-ear monitors we've been working on are complete and we'd like to ship them to the office. As confirmed in the first email, is it still okay to send them to the office? If so, could I please have the contact number of the person in charge? Thank you.

Hello, this is the person in charge of ZEROBASEONE. Yes, will the delivery be made via Quick service? Please deliver it by 3 PM on September 2 (Mon). Upon arrival, please contact us at 010-68xxx17.

-They received the official response to send it by 3PM on September 2 (Mon)

On September 2 at 3PM, the item was personally handed over to the staff of WAKEONE's support team.

(The packaging state of the in-ear monitors at the time)

-September 7 (Sat): during a video call fansign, the member said that he still had not yet received the in-ear monitors.

Black: Honestly, the handheld microphone team asked about it. Yes. I wanted to ask for proof of the in-ear monitors.

Green: Yeah, I saw that.

Black: But when we asked about it, they said they hadn't received them yet.

-September 13 (Thu): The international fandom sent an email asking why the in-ear monitors hadn't been delivered yet and emphasized that they had been sent in time for the world tour and requested a quick delivery.

Hello, this is RICKY JP. I'm writing to inquire about the in-ear monitor we sent earlier. According to the member during a fansign, he hasn't received the gift from the company yet. This gift was created and shipped specifically to be used during the world tour, with prior agreement with the company. Why hasn't it been delivered to the member yet? We hope the gift is delivered as soon as possible. Thank you for reading.

Hello, this is the person in charge of ZEROBASEONE. Could you let us know when it was shipped? It seems there were many gifts, so it might have gotten mixed up. Please check. Thank you.

Hello, this is the person in charge of ZEROBASEONE. Did you just send it by courier without coordinating with us? Please check. Thank you.

After six days of no response, the agency finally replied on September 19 (Thu), just one day before the Seoul concert. They gave a surprising response, asking when it was sent, whether it was delivered by courier, and if it had been coordinated.

The gift was clearly received by staff and now they're saying the company didn't even know about this in-ear monitor gift? Fans started to get anxious from this point...

Hello, this is the person in charge of ZEROBASEONE. We are currently reviewing CCTV footage to verify the situation. We apologize for any shortcomings in receiving the item. We will provide a follow-up after checking. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

After receiving the response that the agency was checking CCTV footage, the international fandom decided to wait until the 22nd, considering the concert schedule.

The agency delayed their response and, after a week, on the 26th, they confirmed via email that the in-ear monitors were lost. (The email did not mention any compensation.)

They are now working with a Korean legal team and plan to sue the agency.

*After the notice was posted, questions arose within the fandom:

(1) How did it get lost after being personally delivered? How does the agency usually manage support items?

(2) If they can lose items worth hundreds of thousands of won, can we trust that other gifts have been properly delivered to the members? Is there someone taking items in between?

+) As a result, the member couldn’t use the new in-ear monitors during the world tour, and the international fandom's three months of effort, time, and money spent on making and shipping the in-ear monitors went to waste.

Summary:

1. An international fandom raised funds and sent in-ear monitors to match the concert dates (after coordinating with the agency, the item was personally delivered to staff).

2. During a fansign, the member said they hadn't received the in-ear monitors.

3. The agency ignored emails asking to confirm delivery, only responding the day before the concert to ask when it was sent and if it had been coordinated.

4. After saying they'd check, the agency admitted a week later that the in-ear monitors were lost, but offered no compensation, apology, or public notice.

5. As a result, the time, effort, and money spent to make the in-ear monitors for the world tour were wasted.

++) Additionally, for those wondering if companies still accept support gifts:

This company’s first official announcement after forming the debut members through a survival show was a gift policy announcement...^^ They've liked gifts since the beginning.

theqoo

-In-ear monitors aren’t something you can make in just a day. It’s so unfortunate considering the time and effort fans spent preparing it, and how they eagerly awaited seeing it used...ㅠ It must be really upsetting..

-Even as a non-fan, this looks incredibly suspicious?????? They should definitely sue...

-I can understand if they take clothes or perfume for themselves, but what are they going to do with custom in-ear monitors?

-In-ear monitors are custom-made based on the shape of the artist's ears, so even if someone stole them, they couldn’t use them. Did they steal it without realizing what it was from the packaging?... It's not like they're beggars or something like that.

-How do you lose something this big?

-Why would they steal that? They can’t even use it.

-Did they actually steal that? Why? And wouldn’t it be obvious who received it? This is crazy.

-What are they going to do with in-ear monitors? You can’t sell them or use them. Why are they doing such a terrible job?

-Maybe they didn’t realize it was in-ear monitors based on the fancy packaging. How do you claim it’s lost after it was handed over directly?

-They just got caught this time. There’s probably a lot more they’ve been stealing.

-It’s obvious they stole it.

Emotional Analysis of Kim Ji-woong's Video Call Profanity Voice Analysis

Request for Feedback on the Analysis Results and Controversy

We're sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Many agencies turned down our requests due to not having enough samples, which caused a longer wait than expected. During the process, there were disruptions to the workflow due to repeated inquiries from individuals apart from the primary team handling the project. Consequently, some agencies declined requests just before the emotional analysis due to these reasons. We're keeping the agency names private to avoid causing any issues for them.

Main Points:

1. Before sharing the results, we inquired about pronunciation, linguistic patterns, and the possibility of voices belonging to the same individual. Most agencies said it was hard to analyze emotions due to not enough samples. However, most agencies responded that emotional analysis would be challenging due to insufficient samples or other reasons. Therefore, we decided to focus solely on the issue considered most critical: whether the profanity was externally inserted or not. Please note that all agencies except the "National Forensic Service" and the "Prosecution's Scientific Investigation Division" are private entities.

2. The essence of this request is to determine whether the profanity heard in the video originate from the phone call screen in the video or from an external source capturing the call. The emotional analysis report is attached in the thread. The analysis concluded that the profanity was uttered by the male participant in the video call, with high probability that the speaker was Kim Ji-woong, one of the parties involved in the video call.

Conclusion:

1. It is confirmed officially that the profanity "씨발 (f*ck)" was indeed heard, and the video was not manipulated.

2. While acknowledging the possibility of the profanity being externally inserted, it is stated that Kim Ji-woong may not necessarily be the one who uttered the profanity.

3. The main team's analysis confirms the profanity was from the video, not added from outside.

Therefore, we demand sincere apologies and responsible feedback from Kim Ji-woong, who engaged in inappropriate behavior during the video fan signing event, and from his agency, Wake One, which handled the controversy with falsehoods and jests to mitigate the situation.

Furthermore, despite clear evidence of who uttered the profanity in the video, Wake One, without offering an apology, continues its activities with casual disregard. We hope Wake One will reflect on whether they are contributing to the establishment of a healthy and mature K-pop culture.

<Spectrogram Analysis>

The image above represents the volume and frequency range of the sound recorded as a spectrogram in the commissioned file. The yellow arrows indicate laughter from a woman captured on scene while filming a video call with a man.

In other words, the areas marked in red indicate that the brighter the color, the louder the volume of that frequency. When comparing the spectrograms of the laughter from the woman during the video call and the man's, it is noticeable that there is a significant difference in the brightness of the colors.

Formant refers to the shape of frequencies formed when measuring human conversation.

The three images above all represent the frequency of words and sentences spoken by the male participant in the video call, with the mountain-like shapes highlighted in yellow representing the formants in the male participant's commissioned file.

The first of the three images represents the frequency of the word "thank you," while the remaining two segments represent the frequencies of the words "시" and "팔," which sound like profanities.

The formants of the three frequencies above show similarities.

The first formant, located furthest to the left, is around 70Hz, matching all three segments.

The second formant is positioned around 500~700Hz.

The third formant is consistent at 1500Hz across all three segments,

while the fourth formant, except for "팔," is located at 4000Hz for both segments.

The fourth formant forms a small peak around 3000Hz in all three segments, and considering that "팔" also forms a peak albeit slight around 4000Hz, it is highly likely that the person pronouncing "시" and "팔" is the male participant in the video call.

The frequencies above represent the formants of laughter from the woman in the commissioned file during the video call.

Firstly, it can be observed that the form of the formants differs from those of the male participant in the video call.

Furthermore, the five formants from left to right show similar shapes, indicating that the laughter in the commissioned file is from the same individual. Additionally, there is a noticeable difference in the frequencies between the profanity segments and laughter segments.

This further suggests that the profanity did not originate from the location where the video call was recorded.

Auditory Analysis:

When the analyst listened to the segments containing profanity, the audio quality sounded muffled, similar to the speech of the male participant in the video call, while the laughter of the woman participating in the video call sounded clearer than the voice of the man.

Conclusion:

The profanity heard in the commissioned file is determined to have originated from the male participant in the video call, and based on the formant analysis, it is highly likely that the male participant in the video call uttered the profanity.

-If only he apologized, it would've been over.

-He should've apologized from the start.

-It's unbelievable how he cursed at a devoted fan and remains defiant.

-Is it really that difficult to apologize?

-Instead of apologizing, they just blame the fans and act all innocent. Shameless!

-So shameless.

-If it were me, I'd be really embarrassed. But since they have no conscience, they're still shamelessly continuing their activities, right?

-They're just making excuses. If only they had apologized early on, things wouldn't have escalated like this. Now there's no turning back.

-Just admit it and apologize.

-They're really talented at twisting things like this.

-The fans are doing better than the agencyㅋㅋㅋ Not even providing proper evidence and just saying "Oh, we know it wasn't us, it must be external audio." It's really ridiculous.

-He repays the fan who sincerely supported him with curses?

-He should've apologized from the beginning... It would've been better to just say it was a staff member's voice and apologize to the fans.

-Even without a request for analysis, it didn't seem like external insertion. If only they had apologized right away, it would've been over. Seems like the agency really can't handle their job.

-Apologize and refund, you heartless people!!!

-If only he had apologized, it would've been forgotten by now.

-Just apologize already, because of that one person, the group is on the verge of collapse.

-Just say sorry, ugh.

-He still hasn't apologized? Wow, that's really something.

-What's so hard about apologizing when you know you did it?

-They should've just lied and said it was a staff member. People would've turned a blind eye.

Kim Ji-woong's Bubble Status Message

事必歸正 can be translated into English as "Justice must prevail" or "Righteousness will ultimately prevail."

instiz

-Just stay quiet...

-Why are you acting like this, seriously...?

-Wait, he's not the one who should be saying that

-I really have nothing to say...

-Seriously, he's still doing what people his age did 10 years ago.

-Oh, I feel ashamed...

-He shouldn't be treating his fans this way

-Why are you doing this? Do you find it fun to receive criticism?

-Whether the swearing actually happened or not, it's not proper to treat fans like this. Seriously, it's absurd.

-That's very childish of him...

-What does he plan to do after ZB1 finishes promoting?ㅠㅠ What does he expect from acting like this...

-Is this his response to the controversy??? What is the agency doing,,,

-Someone please stop him.

-He only thinks about himself...

Fan shouting 'withdraw' after the end of ZB1's stage on Hanteo Music Awards.twt

Withdraw!!!! Withdraw!!!!! Please!!!!!!

theqoo

-I feel sorry for other members.

-Don't jump to conclusions too quickly... until forensic analysis and voice analysis come out.

-The pitch is different. I think it's likely synthesized, someone could be intentionally scheming to provoke the fans.

-It seems like we should analyze the voice.

-I can hear some sound, but regardless, it wasn't the fans. I don't know who said it.

-Since their agency is good at voice analysis, they should do it.

-Oh, I don't really know; we might need to analyze the voice to find out...?

-Screaming "withdraw" seems strange... Fans wouldn't say that ㅠㅠ!

-This might be a misunderstanding too.

-It sounds like staff voices ㅠㅠ

-Send it to the research institute that Kim Ji-woong commissioned ㅠㅠ

-The comments are hilariousㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-We need to see the results of the voice pitch analysis.

-Seems like this clip was manipulated~

-We need voice analysis to confirm if it's what the fans were saying. Besides, it might not be from their fans, right?

-They should release the full videoㅜ How do we know if it's edited?

-Tell them to release the CCTV footage

ZB1 Kim Jiwoong's statement

You've waited for so long, right? My heart has been heavy all this time.

Thank you for always being on my side without any conditions and believing in me, ZEROSE. I'm sorry for making you worry.

Perhaps, I didn't bear it alone, but you also must have had difficult days feeling sad along with me. It didn't make my heart any lighter knowing that.

It might feel like it's been too long, but even now, I'm grateful that I can say this. Just like always, I'll do my best to make ZEROSE smile and be happy. Thank you so much, and I love you.

-Wow... Is this for real?

-So, you're saying you didn't say those things yourself?

-Unbelievable... What did I just read? Seriously, give proper refunds.

-What is this? So you're saying it wasn't you who said it?

-ㅋㅋ This is comedy, seriously, it's hilarious.

-There's absolutely no substance in this post, whether it's an apology, an explanation, or a denial, can't you write something truthful?

-Not gonna lie, I got chills down my spine from reading this

-If he didn't do it, why not just say he didn't do it and clarify the misunderstanding? Even if it's unfair, it seems like he should at least deny it if it's not true. But it's not a denial, it's not even an apology or an admission, it's just a post telling us to interpret it however we want...

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋ He didn't say he didn't do it. It seems like he's saying, "It wasn't directly to you, don't leave me."

-Wow, I thought it was an apology letter... He just doesn't want to apologize, amazing. I've seen many problematic idols, but this one seems to be the first of its kind.

-What's this? Is he saying he did it or not?... It's so ambiguous.

-At this point, leaving seems to be the smartest move...

-I'll remember this.

-I feel so sorry for the fans...

Zero Base One's Statement Regarding the Kim Jiwoong Controversy

Hello, this is Wake One.

We recently commissioned a specialized emotional analysis through the law firm Sejong regarding a video circulated on online communities and social media on the 5th. Here are the results:

After analyzing the speech characteristics of the voices in the video, it was determined that one voice said "Thank you" while the other contained profanity.

Further analysis of the frequency response waveforms showed that the discerned pitch and height were different, indicating that the two voices belonged to different speakers.

Taking into account the overall sentiment that the video was recorded using another recording device in an external location rather than a video calling device, it is possible that the profane voice was recorded externally. This serves as evidence that the profane voice may not belong to the artist.

Despite various testimonies of trust in the artist, we apologize for the delay in providing accurate evidence through additional specialized analysis. We ask for your understanding.

We assure you that we will continue to protect the artist from harm based on facts and will make every effort to ensure that fans of the artist are not further harmed.

We will do our best to promote a healthy and mature K-pop culture.

Thank you.

-Why prolong the issue instead of just apologizing and ending it? Spending money and still getting criticized and criticized, what's the point? Only the fans seem pitiful.

-The more they try to response this matter, the worse it gets.

-Why complicate things so much... At this rate, it seems like the agency wants to stir up trouble.

-They can't even offer the most basic apology, what are they saying?

-The image is already ruined, what now? No one believes... If they had apologized to the fan first, it wouldn't have reached this point.

-Does that mean the fans did it on purpose? If so, shouldn't they sue to find out?

-It's not the staff, but the swearing was said by a different speaker according to the voice analysis results, and it seems like the voice was recorded with another device instead of directly recording with a phone on speaker. It seems like it's the voice from the fans' side, so they may not feel the need to apologize.

-Just apologize...

-They won't even say a word of apology to the fan who received all the backlash.ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Wow.

-They're digging their own grave, seriously.

-There's still no apology to the end, it's really unbelievable how they see the fans.

-Either they have no clue how to run a company, or they only see fans as a source of money, not as people.

-Are they crazy? Regardless of who said it, the fan paid $500 and ended up being insulted, and now they're saying that someone prepared a recording in advance and played it at the right moment when the fan called?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Is the company in their right mind?

-No, they should've just apologized, blaming it on the staff's voice. Who in their right mind would spend money on a fan signing only to curse and swear?;; It would've been better if they had just stayed quiet, why stir up trouble and create dissatisfaction?

-Damn incompetent at handling things.

"The word F*ck was said with a different voice"... Zero Base One Kim Ji-woong, obtained voice analysis report

 "Thank you~ F*ck"

"Thank you" and "F*ck". They're contrasting words. Did one person say this? Fans are still divided. Some heard it as 'F*ck', while others speculated '(9) half past nine'.
(NB: F*ck in Korean is 씨발/Ssi-bal and half past nine is 아홉시반/A-hob-si-ban)

'Zero Base One' Kim Ji-woong has been engulfed in swearing allegations. It's said that he cursed during a video call with fans. He emphasized that it's not true. There are those who heard the swearing, but no one knows who said it.

Wake One's side stated, "We will go through confirmation procedures such as digital media forensic analysis. We will clearly determine the truth." However, the controversy didn't die down.

Fan K, who uploaded the video, appealed, "Even with clear video evidence, are you issuing an official statement denying it only verbally? It's unfair and distressing." The battle over the truth continued.

What's needed now is an objective analysis. 'Dispatch' obtained a voice analysis report on Kim Ji-woong conducted by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Evaluation. It's been summarized based on expert opinions.

(The expert is Lee XX, Ph.D. He has conducted evaluations for about 30 years at the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. He currently runs a private evaluation company.)

#What was said? (Pronunciation Analysis)

The event involves randomly selecting 30 album buyers of 'Zero Base One' for a video call. It took place at the 'Wake One' office on the 27th of last month. Each member talked for about 1 minute and 30 seconds with one fan.

There are two pieces of evidence. Firstly, a video K shared on social media. It's 95.6MB, 3 seconds long. The segment was divided into three parts: A (F1~F5), B (F6~F8), and C (F9~F12).

Secondly, CCTV footage recorded during the event. It compares Kim Ji-woong's mouth movements in the CCTV footage with the voice in the fan's video.

Pronunciation was analyzed using formants. Formants refer to resonant frequencies occurring in the vocal tract. It's a method of analyzing vocal tract imprints by examining sound frequencies.

The results of the vocal tract analysis are as follows: A segment was identified as "Thank you," B segment as "voiceless consonant + F*ck," and C segment as "seems strange or seems suspicious".

#Who said it? (Speaker Analysis)

So, who said it? K presumed it was Kim Ji-woong. If we judge based on the video, the A segment indeed matches Kim Ji-woong. However, the issue lies with the B segment, which was obscured by the screen (presumably by covering the phone or by a staff member's hand).

The expert analyzed the speaker based on the frequency (pitch) of each segment. They examined the vocal tract's range from low to high frequencies, dividing it into different areas.

First, the A segment. The doctor concluded, "It is presumed to be the voice of the same person recorded in the situation. (Kim Ji-woong's) mouth movement and the formant voice production of segment A coincide," determining Kim Ji-woong as the speaker.

The crux lies with the B segment. It should be observed between the low-frequency range (1957 Hz) and ε and α, higher frequencies. It appears to be a similar vocal tract area. In other words, it signifies the voice of one person.

However, it cannot be definitively concluded that it's Kim Ji-woong's voice. The expert stated, "It's impossible to confirm the person (Kim Ji-woong) speaking in the fan video," and remarked, "It's difficult to determine the speaker of the B segment voice," which also applies to the C segment.

#Is it Kim Ji-woong? (Tampering Analysis)

What if we look at the segments together? The waveform of the A-B connection was examined. There were no distortions in pitch and height in the A-B 'connected part'. This indicates a continuous recording situation.

However, different values appeared in the 'frequency response waveform'. At this point, the pitch and height were different. The expert concluded, "The voice of segments A-B appears to be different speakers with different voices."

The B-C segment was also recorded continuously. However, once again, the frequency response waveform was different. The pitch and height did not match.

The analyst viewed segments A-B and B-C as 'different speakers, different voices'. They stated, "The pronunciation of segments A and C appears to be digitally altered to the original voice through 'pitch processing'."

"The pronunciation of segment B is relatively clear and distinct from segments A and C. Through vocal tract analysis, it is determined that segment B was intentionally recorded without pitch processing to maximize the focus on 'F*ck ' for the listeners."

The expert analyzed, "Judging from the shake in the fan video and the movement of the filmed subject (person, phone, etc.), it appears to have been filmed with another device," and stated, "Segment B was recorded by an externally inserted voice."

#The Situation of That Day (On-site Staff Interview)

The CCTV footage, which captured both the fan video and the events of the day, was compared side by side on the same timeline. However, discerning Kim Ji-woong's mouth movements was difficult as they were obscured by the head of the member next to him.

'Dispatch' also interviewed staff member Mr. D who was present at the scene. Each artist was assigned one staff member for the event. Mr. D was in charge of Kim Ji-woong. He is an employee of a record company.

Kim Ji-woong was seated as the fourth person from the right out of nine. Mr. D was seated right in front of Kim Ji-woong. Both of them were simultaneously connected to earphones, listening to the conversation in real-time together. (This was a precautionary measure in case of any unforeseen circumstances, such as the need for interpretation staff.)

He stated, "I don't remember the exact content of the conversation with K," but emphasized, "However, I can definitely say that Kim Ji-woong did not swear. I didn't hear anything."

In particular, the members were seated close to each other. When one member finished the call, they would pass the phone to the next member. Even after Kim Ji-woong's call ended, the member next to him continued their call.

He mentioned, "Another artist was continuously video-calling right next to us," and said, "It wasn't a situation where swearing could occur. There was no opportunity for it, and I didn't hear anything."

#Summary

① The identified voices are A (Thank you), B (Voiceless consonant + F*ck), C (Seems strange or seems suspicious).

② In the fan video, the pitch of the A segment was manipulated during production to emphasize the pronunciation of 'F*ck'. It is judged that the pitch was also manipulated in the C segment.

③ The pitch and height discerned in the frequency response waveforms of the A-B and B-C segments were different. Therefore, it indicates different speakers and voices.

④ The A-B-C segments were recorded consecutively. Considering the filming conditions of the fan video, there is a possibility that 'F*ck' was recorded externally.

⑤ Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, no peculiarities were observed in Kim Ji-woong's mouth movements. The fan video cannot exclude the possibility of mixed surrounding voices. Therefore, it cannot be determined whether 'F*ck' was spoken by Kim Ji-woong.

-Originally,  they could have honestly apologized, clarified any misunderstandings, and cleanly ended it. With that attitude, fans wouldn't keep causing trouble in the future. Why do they keep stumbling?

-Yeah, there will never be an apology, no member withdrawal or hiatus. Only the fans are really suffering, seriously.

-If they had just apologized at first, it would have been forgotten. Now it's making me remember it againㅋㅋㅋ

-F*** really... why does this happen every time the lights go out? Wake One, I can't enjoy fangirling because of stress... Did they apologize to the person involved...?

-The fans are the ones suffering the most. The management company is really mishandling things...

-They probably expect us to believe this, right...?

-Regardless of who did it, swearing definitely occurred, and the fans heard it, so shouldn't an apology come first??

-Is it possible that there's a staff member swearing right next to the artist?

-So, they're saying it's true that someone swore? But there are only members and staff there, right??

-Then was it a ghost??;; Is it that hard to just apologize?

-Just apologize and cover it up, the company really can't handle its job, what are they going to do if the fans raise their voices in protest?

ZB1 Zhang Hao's rumor

(NB: I'm not translating the post, not even the full title)

pann

1. [+175][-23] Zhang Hao is so f*cking popular, there isn't a single person who never took pictures with him. That person is making all kinds of rumors with just one selfie. Does he have any other evidence besides that selfie? That's the only thing he hasㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+142][-19] That person is spreading fake news that was already explained a long time ago, it's really obvious. Not to mention the comments flood in just 10 seconds after the post was uploaded and all the comments have the same number of upvotes. Why are you doing this? Your life might already be ruined, but you're going to get sued and make it even worse. Goodbye^^

3. [+131][-16] The original post got deleted and the poster disappeared. If you post it here, you'll get sued immediately. It's best to be prepared for that.

4. [+120][-15] It's f*cking hilarious how people bring this back again. Do you guys not know that Yuehwa Ent. is really good at suing people? Not to mention that it's really easy to sue Pann users. Goodbye~

5. [+116][-14] Since Nate Pann requires real-name authentication, it's really easy to collect personal information. Even if you delete the post, the information remains and you can still get sued. Zhang Hao won first place in a survival show, I'm sure his company is protecting him at all costs. The rumor should've stayed in that other online community, why are you bringing it to Pann? Congratulations, you just ruined your own lifeㅋㅋ
