Singer Lee Chaeyeon shared the full story behind her hair loss rumors along with her experience getting a hair transplant.
On the broadcast of '12 o'clock with Joo Hyunyoung' that aired on the 29th, Lee Chaeyeon appeared as a guest and talked about behind-the-scenes stories from her Waterbomb Festival performance. She said, "I experienced hair loss during my first Waterbomb performance in 2025. Since it was my first time, I prepared really hard and carefully filled in the empty spots on my head. But it all washed away once I got hit with water."
She continued, "As I kept doing wave movements, my hair kept flipping back and my forehead area looked empty. Because of that, rumors about my hair loss started to circulate. I thought, 'This is serious. I have to keep performing at Waterbomb,' so I immediately decided to get a hair transplant." She also added honestly, "It cost a fortune," which drew laughter.
Lee Chaeyeon had previously mentioned this issue when appearing on 'Knowing Bros.' At the time, she revealed, "I transplanted 3,571 hairs because I wanted to perform at the Waterbomb stage again." In response, Narsha responded, "If you planted over 3,000, that's a lot," while Kang Hodong empathized, "It must be hard for singers to manage since they change their hairstyles so often."
Meanwhile, Lee Chaeyeon is a solo artist formerly of IZONE. She is now continuing her steady career as a solo artist, known for her powerful performances and stable live vocals. She recently made a comeback with her fourth mini album 'Till I Die,' which expresses her emotions and inner thoughts she felt on stage through her own unique style.
