Model and TV personality Hong Jikyung opened up about the hardships of her past.

In the first episode of MBC's 'Sora and Jinkyung' that aired on the 26th, an awkward reunion between Lee Sora and Hong Jinkyung after 15 years was shown.

In this episode, when Lee Sora joked that all their close friends from the past are now single, Hong Jinkyung responded humorously, "Come to think of it, I'm now single again. Is my personality too strong?"

Lee Sora replied, "We've just stayed single as we aged. At least you've gone through things."

Hong Jinkyung replied, "I've lived quite a variety of life. In the 15 years we didn't see each other, I got married, had a child, fought cancer, and even got divorced. I had cancer. I went through six rounds of chemotherapy," summarizing the past 15 years of her life.

She continued, "Chemotherapy is like this: the first and the last rounds are the easiest. The first one is easy because you don't really know what's coming, and the last is easy because it's finally the end. The third and fourth rounds are the hardest. I wanted to give up on life. I didn't want to continue because it was so difficult. But after going through all that, I am now fully recovered and healthy." Lee Sora praised her, "Congratulations. You've really been through a lot. I don't know how you endured all of that."

Meanwhile, Hong Jinkyung was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2013, just one year after giving birth, and fought the cancer for about two years. She had married a businessman in 2003 after five years of dating and has a daughter, but she announced her divorce last August after 22 years of marriage.

Entertainer Ji Yeeun revealed the pet name she uses with her boyfriend, dancer Vata (real name: Kim Taehyun).

On the episode of SBS' 'Running Man' that aired on the 26th, Ji Yeeun was shown informing the members about her relationship with Vata.

During filming, Ji Yeeun was caught by the members frequently checking her phone during every break. Seeing this, Yoo Jaesuk commented, "Since the dating news broke, you're constantly checking your phone." Ji Yeeun replied, "I only check my phone during breaks," but couldn't hide her excited expression.

Yang Sechan playfully asked her, "What makes him love you?" to which Ji Yeeun answered, "Love is just something you do every day," casually mentioning her relationship with Vata.

When Ji Sukjin jokingly asked her, "What do you call each other?" Ji Yeeun shyly replied, "Jagi (honey)," and the members reacted with excitement to her unexpectedly honest answer.

Ji Yeeun alsho shared details about their relationship progress. She explained, "We were in 'talking stage' for about two and a half months. Even after we started dating, we couldn't even hold hands for the first three weeks," and added, "Vata was the one who asked first, 'Can I hold your hand?'"

Ji Yeeun and Vata are both born in 1994. The two were originally church friends before developing into a romantic relationship.

The wedding is being held privately as a small ceremony, with only close family and acquaintances in attendance.

Even her agency, Ghost Agency, told Ilgan Sports the day before, "We don't know anything (about Shin Hyunji's marriage," and added, "It's difficult to confirm."

Shin Hyunji first gained recognition after winning OnStyle's 'Korea's Next Top Model Cycle 4' in 2013 and later made headlines as the first Asian model to walk the solo closing for a Chanel main show.

On the 25th, singers Kim Jongseo, Kang Kyunsung, Lim Junghee, Wendy, and Kim Jaehwan appeared as guests on JTBC's 'Knowing Bros.'

In this episode, Wendy revealed that she made a surprise appearance and performed a congratulatory song at the wedding of a fan who had supported her since her debut.

Wendy said, "The bride gave me a wedding invitation during a fan signing event, but there was no contact information written on it. I needed a way to contact her to actually go."

She continued, "My company and I searched through social media accounts and contact lists. We finally found the groom's contact information. I reached out and asked, 'Would it be alright if I performed a congratulatory song?'"

Wendy added, "I went to the wedding venue and performed a surprise song. The bride's eyes welled up, but she held her tears back. I almost cried too, but I managed to hold back."

The fan in question is known to have supported Wendy since Red Velvet's debut in 2014.

In the video of the performance, Wendy mentioned, "She is a fan I first met when I debuted on August 1, 2014. I still remember clearly she was a high school senior at the time and she would come to many of my schedules with candy and vitamins."

'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store' is based on the novel by Japanese author Keigo Higashino. It tells the story of three thieves who hide in a mysterious general store that connects the past and present. As they respond to letters seeking advice, they face the secrets of miraculous connections tied to their own lives. The original novel was hugely popular, ranking as the No. 1 best-selling Japanese novel in Korea for 10 years, from 2007 to 2016.
