tvN’s drama 'Signal' is set to return with second season in 2026, 10 years after its first season.
tvN and TVING announced this plan at the "CJ ENM Content Talk 2025" event held at the CJ ENM Sangam Center 1st Floor Talent Studio in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 10th. The drama 'Signal', which aired in 2016, is a crime thriller that follows detectives from the 1980s and the present who communicate through a walkie-talkie to uncover unsolved cases. Despite crime dramas being a non-mainstream genre at the time, 'Signal' became one of tvN's biggest hits. There were many fans who wanted a second season before the end of the first season, and the second season has been confirmed to air next year, a decade later after its first season.
The new season will be titled 'Second Signal,' and lead actors Kim Hyesoo, Cho Jinwoong, and Lee Jehoon will all be starring in it. In a video message, Kim Hyesoo shared her excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to be able to present a new season of a series that received so much love. All the actors and staff will do their best in filming."
