The actor who's experiencing a second peak in popularity right now

In the past, any article about Joo Jihoon would be flooded with drug-related comments (e.g., “Why do directors keep casting an addict?” “Let’s stop supporting him”), but now, most of the comments are talking about how great his acting is. I feel like the number of people who like Joo Jihoon has increased a lot.

theqoo

-The response on YouTube is really positive.

-If you have talent and charm, people will still support you even after controversies. It's even more common overseas.

-His acting has improved a lot as he's gotten older.

-I still don’t think he’s a good actor. This is very surprising.

-I really want to stop seeing him on TV.

-Isn't this his third time??? He already had another breakthrough with 'Kingdom'

-Oh, is he really that popular right now?

-I think he's a great actor...

-There are a lot of people who support a druggie, huh?ㅎ

-Well, honestly, it's mostly online communities that are making a fuss. His old works are climbing the rankings on OTT platformsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Just give us the Season 2 of 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' already.

-This really might be the best role he has ever played in his entire career. I enjoyed it so much.

-Is 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' really that good?

-This is why criminals keep making comebacks… Might as well let Yoo Ahin return too.

-I thought the OP was talking about Robert Downey Jr.

theqoo

-I really enjoyed watching 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'. I haven’t even watched 'Kingdom,' should I check it out?

-I like 'Hyena.'

-I should rewatch 'Goong.'

-No 'Mask'? I really enjoyed watching that drama.

-I haven't watched any of these.

-'The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call' was insanely goodㅋㅋㅋ Give us Season 2.

-I really love 'Kingdom.' Should I watch 'Goong' too? It's a really old drma, thoughㅠㅋㅋㅋ

-You guys should definitely watch 'Hyena.'

-Why isn't 'Kingdom' trending? Everyone, watch 'Kingdom'. Let's talk about that drama with me.

-I'm currently rewatching 'Kingdom.'

-More than anything, I’m surprised 'Goong' is ranked so high. It’s such a long drama to binge-watch.

-'Kingdom' was so good... It's a legendary work in Joo Jihon's whole filmography.

-I really love him latelyㅠ Please give us Season 2 of 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'...........

-His acting in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' was amazing that I’m curious about his other works.

Joo Jihoon ranked 3rd in worst acting skills chosen by reporters last year.

3rd place: 'Project Silence' Joo Jihon (8 votes)

Third place is Joo Jihoon. In the movie 'Project Silence' (Directed by Kim Taegon), he played the role of a reckless tow truck driver, Jo Park, and exchanged witty banter with the late Lee Sunkyun. However, his performance was ultimately deemed 'the worst.'

Joo Jihoon received 8 votes. Those who voted for him as the worst actor cited, "Joo Jihoon's acting style made me want to escape the theater," "How many years has he been acting? He exaggerated every little moment that it ruined the whole movie," "Every time he appeared, he made me wonder, 'What's wrong with him?'"

[Y Review] Joo Jihoon's unchanging acting tone, nothing new in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

Joo Jihoon played this character with his unique confident and laid-back acting style. While it could be seen as his strength, it's a style he's shown too many times before, nothing new. Moreover, his overly exaggerated tone seems to constantly remind the viewers: "Joo Jihoon is acting right now."

An actor who has been acting for 18 years.

He's been criticized for his bad acting since he starred in 'Goong', and even though people say he has improved, he remains an actor whose performance receives a lot of mixed reviews from the viewers.

theqoo

-He’s not an amazing actor, but he’s not terrible either. I personally dislike him because of his controversies.

-'Kingdom' was the first time I thought he acted well.

-Honestly, he’s not bad. I’ve enjoyed watching a lot of the works he’s been in.

-His acting in 'Goong' was indeed that severe, but he did really well in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

-I’ve never thought Joo Jihoon was a bad actor.

-I've watched 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,' 'Kingdom,' and 'Blood Fire'. He was good! I can't wait to watch his next project.

-Honestly, he's not bad at allㅋㅋㅋ And he perfectly suits his character in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

-His acting style is always similar, which I personally don't like, but when he chooses the right characters, he tend to receive positive reviews.

-I've always liked his acting. He's good at choosing roles that suit him sell, that's a skill.

-I personally think he's a bad actor. It's fascinating to see that many people think he's good.

-To be honest, he's not that badㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-He's definitely not bad... It's just that people can get bored of his acting style.

-'Good actor'? What a bullshitㅋㅋㅋ

-I still don't like his acting styleㅠ

-Watch that movie. He was so bad, it actually shocked me...

Character Baek Kanghyuk from drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' gets a lot of positive reactions

Joo Jihoon's voice is insanely loud, he yells so well like crazy.

Baek Kanghyuk is always yelling. There's this scene where he gets an emergency call during a live press conference.

When the reporters tell him to take the phone call later, he just screams 'Shut up!!!' at them. Look at his f*cking will temper.

'You son of a b*tch!!!!!!' 'Professor!!!! No swearing, no swearing...!! Please calm down... Breathe... Take a breathe'

'No swearing, no swearing' Yang Jaewon and Professor Baek Kanghyuk who has no filter and is hot-tempered. Their chemistry is so freaking hilariousㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

You guys have to watch 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'. Pleaseㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Baek Kanghyuk's temper is so freaking insane, whoa...

'For f*ck sake... What kind of scumbag are you? You don't care if the patient lives or dies, but you're upset that people are criticizing you?'

The way he yells and slams the door as he storms out. He has such an awful attitude.

'I won't let you take the night shift alone until I say so. Everyone has to do their shift eventually, so the best time to do it is when everyone acknowledges you'

Who confesses their feelings through a night shift schedule....?

Kanghyuk and Jaewon from 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'...

'Don’t you know what’s important in front of a patient? Don't fight with just anyone. I'll do the fighting'

When the villain anesthesiologist and Yang Jaewon x Cheon Jangmi keep arguing, Professor Baek Kanghyuk says this to stoop them. How f*cking sweet!

He speaks up against the bad people, but so kind to his patients and his peopleㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ

It's such a freaking good character

-Oh... This makes me want to watch the drama.

-'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is so f*cking good. The cast all have great acting skills. I finished all 8 episodes in one go... When is Season 2 coming out?

-He yells like that because he has the skills to back up his hot temper. I'm jealousㅋㅋㅋ

-Out of all the dramas I've watched recently, he's the actor who suits his character the best.

-He's such an amazing actor, not gonna lie.

-I started watching this drama out of boredom, but it turned out to be relly good. I love that it's a medical drama that doesn't try too hard to be something it's not.

-Joo Jihoon definitely nailed this roleㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This might be the best character he has ever played in his career. Please give us Season 2.

-Baek Kanghyuk is really charming.

-I really like Baek Kanghyuk's character. Joo Jihoon portrays him really well.

-This is the fantasy drama everyone wants. There are no frustrating parts, just straightforward and satisfying ones. It also doesn't have any romance subplots. I wish there were more dramas like this.

-He’s starting to look handsome to me now..♥

-I agreeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Just give us Season 2 already... I heard there's also going to be a Season 3... Give it to us now...

-I watched it all in one go. It's been so long since I’ve watched a drama where I loved all the characters. Wow... It's truly an amazing drama.

-I started watching Episode 1 and before I knew it, I’d finished all 8 episodes. Joo Jihoon fits this role perfectly.

Joo Jihoon's acting remains the same, nothing ew in ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

※ This article contains some spoilers.

There must be a secret to why he's such a productive actor. However, if he continues to show the same acting style regardless of the genre or character in every work he appears in, viewers will eventually get tired of it. Despite having many projects lined up, Joo Jihoon doesn't seem to offer anything new.

Joo Jihoon portrayed this character with his witty and nonchalant acting style. While this could be considered as his strength, it's something that we've already seen too many times before. It has become so familiar, it constantly reminds the viewer, 'This is Joo Jihoon acting right now.'

theqoo

-I really like 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' even though I usually don't like him.

-This drama is fun and Choo Youngwoo is an amazing actor.

-He actually did a great job. He suited the role perfectly.

-I usually don't like him, but I enjoyed watching this drama.

-Huh....? It was really fun, though? I watched it all in one sitting without getting distractedㅋㅋㅋ

-I get what you mean. He always has that same tone.

-He suited the character perfectly, though? Baek Kanghyuk is a really charming character.

-I f*cking enjoyed watching the drama...

-I personally think his acting was good in this drama. Didn't his pronunciation improve, though?

-I think he suited this character the best out of his recent works...

-The drama was fun and he suited the character perfectly this time.

-ㅋㅋ At first, I also thought, 'Joo Jihoon again??', but then I watched the drama and realized that he suited the character perfectly and his acting was good as well.

-He was perfect for this character... Are you sure you've watched the drama?

-? What do you mean? He did a good jobㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I don't usually watch Joo Jihoon's drama so I don't know about his acting skills, but I personally think he did well in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

-I don't think Joo Jihoon's acting was bad at all.

Joo Jihoon, from crown price to an emperor? ... In talks to star in 'The Remarried Empress'

Actor Joo Jihoon is expected to portray the role of royalty once again, following his roles in 'Goong' and 'Kingdom.'

According to a report by IZE on the 24th, Joo Jihoon has been offered to play the role of the emperor of the Eastern Empire in the fantasy romance titled 'The Remarried Empress' and is positively considering the offer. His agency cautiously responded, saying, "It's true that he received the offer and is considering it, but nothing has been confirmed yet."

'The Remarried Empress' is based on a popular web novel with the same title. It tells the story of Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who is divorced by her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, due to his infidelity. Later, she remarries the prince of the Western Kingdom, Heinrey, becoming an empress once again. The series has gained a strong fanbase and is also being serialized as a Webtoon.

The role that Joo Jihoon is positively considering is Sovieshu, the emperor of Eastern Empire and also Navier's first husband. He is the character at the root of the dramatic conflict in 'The Remarried Empress,' portrayed as a 'bad boy' but also as a charming character.

Previously, Shin Minah has been confirmed to play the role of Navier, while Lee Jongsuk is being considered to take the role of her second husband. If Joo Jihoon joins the cast, it is expected to result in a 'golden casting' with a perfect 100% synchronization to the characters in the original work.

-His acting hasn't improved and he's not very popular, but he sure gets cast a lot…

-Well... He does suit the role, though.

-Don't cast him. I'm not gonna watch this.

-He suits the role because the role itself is terrible.

-Seriously... Why do they keep casting him when his acting hasn't improved?

-Does Joo Jihoon have a lot of fans?

-His acting skills in 'Light Shop' were good, thoughh.

-Is he cheap to hire?? Why is he getting so many roles?

-I don't think Joo Jihoon will take the role, though.

-He's too much of an Ahjussi.

-Lee Jongsuk as Heinrey?? What's up with the castingㅠㅠ

-Why do they keep casting someone who had a drug scandal?

-Aren't there any younger and more handsome actors?ㅠ

-Ugh... This is insane. This makes me not want to watch the drama.

-I just can’t understand this… Are there really no other actors?

Actors rumored to be cast in the drama The Remarried Empress

Shin Minah as Navier

Lee Jongsuk as Heinrey

Joo Jihoon as Sovieshu

The casting for Rashta hasn't been announced yet.

-All of them somehow don't suit the characters.

-Song Hayoon would be perfect as Rashta.

-It was fine up to Shin Minah and Lee Jongsuk... But with Joo Jihoon, the drama adaptation looks kind of old...

-Can't they... Stop casting Joo Jihoon?

-What the... Why is Joo Jihoon here? Stop casting him, pleaseㅜㅜ

-Byun Wooseok as Heinrey please

-Aren't there... any younger actors to cast?

-Please replace all the actors with more handsome ones.

-Please, not Joo Jihoon.

-I don't want to see Joo Jihoon anymore.

-I personally think Lee Dohyun as Heinrey, Choo Youngwoo or Kim Jaeyoung as Sovieshu would be better... I'd prefer younger actors...

-Replace the whole cast. What the heck is this?

-Lee Jongsuk is actually not bad... But Joo Jihoon is too much of an Ahjussi.

-Heinrey... is supposed to be a cute, younger guy...

Synopsis of an upcoming drama starring by Ha Jiwon and Joo Jihoon

A story about a woman who exploits a power cartel to make her prosecutor husband the president.

https://v.daum.net/v/20241125155543853

theqoo

-Is this a documentary?

-I don't want to watch a drama starring by a criminal, though.

-The storyline is so outdated.

-Why make this into a drama? We already see it in real life.

-A prosecutor husband and a cartel? Why bother watching this in a drama?ㅋㅋㅋ

-Why does this guy get cast a lot? His acting isn't even that good.

-I don’t get why Joo Jihoon keeps getting jobs?? It’s really fascinating.

-Why is Joo Jihoon popping up everywhere again?ㅋ

-Just watch the evening news for the same story. Why bother turning it into a drama?

-Joo Jihoon again? F*ck this.

-Joo Jihoon again?ㅋㅋㅋ Are there no other male actors left?ㅋㅋ

-Why is Joo Jihoon even in this drama??

-I’m not watching anything with Joo Jihoon in it.

-Regardless his drug scandals, I'm so tired of seeing him everywhere.

-This feels like something straight from recent news.

-This actually sounds interesting.

-Stop casting drug addictsㅡㅡ

-I thought it was fun. If people wanted to boycott him, they should’ve done it ages ago. He’s already been in several dramas and movies since that scandal in 2009 or 2010. It’s weird to single this one out now.

-He doesn’t suit the male lead role.

-Jung Yumi’s rom-coms are always worth watching.

-I want to watch for Jung Yumi, but Joo Jihoon makes me not want to.

-I want to watch for Jung Yumi, but I just can’t see Joo Jihoon in a rom-com...

-I'm skipping this drama entirely because of the male lead.

-How can anyone watch Joo Jihoon in a rom-com? His acting is honestly terrible.

-Joo Jihoon’s acting here is quite okay, though...

-Ah... I didn't know this drama already started airing.

-That druggie better bows to Jung Yumi. I think this drama is using Jung Yumi as their 'cheat key'.

-I don't want to watch a druggie...

-I can't deny that I want to watch Jung Yumi in a rom-com, though...ㅠㅠ

-Putting aside the cast, is the drama actually fun?
