In celebration of 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' reaching #1 in Global Ranking, Choo Youngwoo sings 'When Spring Comes'

theqoo

-I mean... Why does he sound so good?????

-What... He's good at singing too.

-What?? He's actually a great singer. I would've been so upset if the show didn't rank #1.

-Craz... He captured Roy Kim's vibe perfectly.

-He sings well and has a great voice, what is this??

-#1? Did it do better than 'Squid Game 2'? Well, 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is pretty good, though.

-His voice sounds similar to Roy Kim.

-Whoa... What the heck??ㅋㅋㅋ He's an amazing singer!!!!!

-He sings so well... His voice blesses my ears.

-??? Why are you good at singing?

-I’m actually shocked at how good he isㅋㅋㅋㅋ I thought he had a nice voice, but he can really sing too. Fascinating.

-He’d be great in musicals tooㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ That vocal projectionㅋㅋㅋ

-He’s got all the talent.

-Did he do musicals? He sounds amazing.

-Anus?? What is this?? Why are you good at singing?

Netflix drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' becomes a major hit

It ranked #1 for non-English dramas in the first week of February

And ranked #2 in overall

It accumulated 16,6 M views in just two weeks

It's currently ranking #11 among all Netflix's original K-Dramas

It's also the #1 most-talked-about drama and actor

Joo Jihoon ranking #1 and Choo Youngwoo ranking #4

-This drama is so f*cking good. Give me Season 2.

-I don't usually like medical dramas, but this one was funㅋㅋㅋ I wonder if there will be Season 2.

-Whoa... This is huge. Looks like there's definitely going to be a Season 2.

-Why did people throw bullshit on 'Hospital Playlist' then?

-The plot feels too similar to 'Dr. Romantic,' so I personally don't like it that much.

-They're currently filming for Season 2, right?? Please..

-It would’ve been perfect if not for Joo Jihoon…

-I can’t even watch this because of Joo Jihoon, so frustrating.

-The original writer wanted Gong Yoo or Kim Namgil... So why did they cast Joo Jihoon instead?

-I've only heard about the hype… Joo Jihoon is in this??... Ugh, I was just about to watch it, though.

-This is the first drama I've actually enjoyed in a long time.

-They're just doing surgeries in this drama... Honestly, they could run for 100 seasons. Let's go.

-I read the novel, so the drama felt a bit off to me, but still interesting.

-The reactions are good. I'll have to watch it thenㅋㅋㅋ

-It's perfect for killing time. I enjoyed it.

-The pacing was faast, the story was simple and fun. I watched the whole season with my parents over the holidays.

-I don't usually watch dramas, but my family said it was light and fun to watch, so they watched it all in one go.

-It was super fun. The fast-paced plot is what makes it exactly the kind of drama that Koreans would love.

-I usually drop Joo Jihoon's drama halfway because they just don't suit my taste, but this one was actually enjoyableㅋㅋㅋ

-This is probably the character that Joo Jihoon suits the most in his whole career.

-Choo Youngwoo is so cuteㅋㅋㅋ

-It was really fun. The pacing was fast and there were no romance subplots, which made the drama was very comfortable to watch.

-Now I understand why directors love Joo Jihoonㅋㅋ

-I kept watching til the end because of Cheon Jangmi, Yang Jaewon, and Han Yurimㅋㅋㅋ Han Yurim was seriously the most memorable characterㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This is my first time seeing Choo Youngwoo. He's such an amazing actor, he really stood out in my opinion.

-What are they doing instead of making Season 2?!

-It was so funㅜ I hope they film Season 2 before Choo Youngwoo enlists in the military service.

-It’s been so long since my whole family enjoyed a drama together.

-I only planned to watch one episode but ended up watching all 8 in one sitting. I just couldn't stop.

-The pacing is fast, the characters are charming, and there's no Sung Gihun (Very important)

It's said that 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' star Ha Young comes from a family of medical professionals

'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' star Ha Young is actually from a family of doctors🩺

"My father is a practicing doctor, and my mother majored in nursing. I heard that my great-grandfather was one of the first doctors to practice Western medicine in Hanyang. I heard that my great-grandfather was one of the first doctors to practice Western medicine in Hanyang."

theqoo

-What does coming from a family of doctors have to do with acting skills? I’m genuinely curious, not trying to start an argument.

-If an actor/actress has been around a particular profession, it would definitely help them in portraying that role.

-No wonder her acting was so natural.

-I really liked Jangmi’s character, and her performance in the drama was absolutely amazing.

-If her family members are actually medical professionals, she must've seen and heard a lot about the role she's portraying in this dramaㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Don't be jealous.

-So she comes from a wealthy family.

-Wow, no wonder her tone was so natural.

-I personally think her acting felt super natural.

-Dramas usually consult with experts in their field. So it must be helpful to have a family member who's a medical professional. Why are some people making ridiculous arguments with such confidence?

-That means she can ask for advice or references from her family. What's wrong with people?

-Coming from a doctor’s family and graduating from Ewha Womans University… Definitely an enviable background.

-I first saw her in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' and I have to agree that she's such an amazing actress.

'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' receives positive reactions for changing this character, who is originally a man in the original work, to a woman in the drama adaptation

Actress Kim Sunyoung plays the role of the Minister of Health and Welfare

(It's originally a male character and has no significant scenes in the original work)

With her firm gaze and clear diction, along with her determined efforts to improve the working conditions for the trauma center team, she left a really strong impression despite the short screen time.

The director reportedly made the change because he wanted to work with Kim Sunyoung.

Q: Regarding the changes from the original work, the Minister of Health and Welfare was changed from a male character to a female character.

Lee Doyoon (Director): That was my personal desire. I wanted to work with Kim Sunyoung, whom I deeply respect, so I offered her the role.

-I liked how she was smart enough to use the situation politicallyㅋㅋㅋ

-I also really loved this role. Seeing an actress portray such an ambitious character made it even better.

-The Minister’s role was brief but so impactful. I absolutely loved to see her using politics to her advantages.

-She suited the role perfectlyㅋㅋㅋㅋ The fact that they changed this character to a woman made it even better.

-I think everyone except the nurse was male in the original, but the change was greatㅠ It was a really great decision.

-This change made the drama so much better.

-She really suited the roleㅋㅋ

-Where can I find the original interview? I want to read the whole thingㅋㅋ

-She suits the role well. I have a feeling she wouldn’t stab anyone in the backㅋㅋ

-Sunyoung's tone was really amazing. It's just different from the typical politicians in other dramas.

-Whoa... I loved that character so much. I didn't know it was originally a male character.

-I didn't know the original character was a man. I haven’t read it, so I thought this was how it always was. I loved it.

-Hul... What a great decision. And the actress' performance was absolutely incredible.

-I really love competent, ambitious female characters like this!

Character Baek Kanghyuk from drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' gets a lot of positive reactions

Joo Jihoon's voice is insanely loud, he yells so well like crazy.

Baek Kanghyuk is always yelling. There's this scene where he gets an emergency call during a live press conference.

When the reporters tell him to take the phone call later, he just screams 'Shut up!!!' at them. Look at his f*cking will temper.

'You son of a b*tch!!!!!!' 'Professor!!!! No swearing, no swearing...!! Please calm down... Breathe... Take a breathe'

'No swearing, no swearing' Yang Jaewon and Professor Baek Kanghyuk who has no filter and is hot-tempered. Their chemistry is so freaking hilariousㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

You guys have to watch 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'. Pleaseㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Baek Kanghyuk's temper is so freaking insane, whoa...

'For f*ck sake... What kind of scumbag are you? You don't care if the patient lives or dies, but you're upset that people are criticizing you?'

The way he yells and slams the door as he storms out. He has such an awful attitude.

'I won't let you take the night shift alone until I say so. Everyone has to do their shift eventually, so the best time to do it is when everyone acknowledges you'

Who confesses their feelings through a night shift schedule....?

Kanghyuk and Jaewon from 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'...

'Don’t you know what’s important in front of a patient? Don't fight with just anyone. I'll do the fighting'

When the villain anesthesiologist and Yang Jaewon x Cheon Jangmi keep arguing, Professor Baek Kanghyuk says this to stoop them. How f*cking sweet!

He speaks up against the bad people, but so kind to his patients and his peopleㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ

It's such a freaking good character

-Oh... This makes me want to watch the drama.

-'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is so f*cking good. The cast all have great acting skills. I finished all 8 episodes in one go... When is Season 2 coming out?

-He yells like that because he has the skills to back up his hot temper. I'm jealousㅋㅋㅋ

-Out of all the dramas I've watched recently, he's the actor who suits his character the best.

-He's such an amazing actor, not gonna lie.

-I started watching this drama out of boredom, but it turned out to be relly good. I love that it's a medical drama that doesn't try too hard to be something it's not.

-Joo Jihoon definitely nailed this roleㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-This might be the best character he has ever played in his career. Please give us Season 2.

-Baek Kanghyuk is really charming.

-I really like Baek Kanghyuk's character. Joo Jihoon portrays him really well.

-This is the fantasy drama everyone wants. There are no frustrating parts, just straightforward and satisfying ones. It also doesn't have any romance subplots. I wish there were more dramas like this.

-He’s starting to look handsome to me now..♥

-I agreeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Just give us Season 2 already... I heard there's also going to be a Season 3... Give it to us now...

-I watched it all in one go. It's been so long since I’ve watched a drama where I loved all the characters. Wow... It's truly an amazing drama.

-I started watching Episode 1 and before I knew it, I’d finished all 8 episodes. Joo Jihoon fits this role perfectly.

👨🏻‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️ If 'Dr. Romantic' Kim Sabu and 'The Trauma Code' Baek Kanghyuk had to compete in terms of medical skills, who do you think would win?

Both characters are professors who have been through every possible challenges.

Kim Sabu (Teacher Kim)

Baek Kanghyuk

-Baek worked as a doctor in a war zone, so I'd say Baek.

-I think I'd want to get surgery from Baek Kanghyukㅋㅋㅋ In terms of skills, his qualifications are unbeatable.

-I'd say it's Kim Sabu. Based on the storyline, he earned triple boards (GS, NS, CS) at Cleveland, which means he's skilled in all aspects of human anatomy. Besides, for surgeons, experience is key. That's why doctors in their 40s or 50s are considered on their peaks.

-You can't look down on the experience that Kim Sabu has gained over the years.

-Kim Sabu's triple board certification and experience are unmatched.

-Baek Kanghyuk is practically a superhumanㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Baek Kanghyuk is a fantasy character. Even though it was not adapted in the drama, he has the senses and physical abilities of a superhuman.

-Why are people always pitting them against each other? They have no reason to competeㅋㅋㅋ Both prioritize saving patients above all else, so they’d probably team up for surgeries and respect each other.

-Imagine if they worked together.

-Ah... I cant choose, I like them both.

-For scheduled surgeries, Kim Sabu. If I'm dying, Baek Kanghyuk.

-Baek has the talent and skills of a God.

-Can’t they collaborate?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Baek is basically a Godㅋㅋ His skills are on another level.

-I think they'd totally respect and each other. Geniuses recognize other geniuses.

Joo Jihoon's acting remains the same, nothing ew in ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

※ This article contains some spoilers.

There must be a secret to why he's such a productive actor. However, if he continues to show the same acting style regardless of the genre or character in every work he appears in, viewers will eventually get tired of it. Despite having many projects lined up, Joo Jihoon doesn't seem to offer anything new.

Joo Jihoon portrayed this character with his witty and nonchalant acting style. While this could be considered as his strength, it's something that we've already seen too many times before. It has become so familiar, it constantly reminds the viewer, 'This is Joo Jihoon acting right now.'

theqoo

-I really like 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' even though I usually don't like him.

-This drama is fun and Choo Youngwoo is an amazing actor.

-He actually did a great job. He suited the role perfectly.

-I usually don't like him, but I enjoyed watching this drama.

-Huh....? It was really fun, though? I watched it all in one sitting without getting distractedㅋㅋㅋ

-I get what you mean. He always has that same tone.

-He suited the character perfectly, though? Baek Kanghyuk is a really charming character.

-I f*cking enjoyed watching the drama...

-I personally think his acting was good in this drama. Didn't his pronunciation improve, though?

-I think he suited this character the best out of his recent works...

-The drama was fun and he suited the character perfectly this time.

-ㅋㅋ At first, I also thought, 'Joo Jihoon again??', but then I watched the drama and realized that he suited the character perfectly and his acting was good as well.

-He was perfect for this character... Are you sure you've watched the drama?

-? What do you mean? He did a good jobㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I don't usually watch Joo Jihoon's drama so I don't know about his acting skills, but I personally think he did well in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

-I don't think Joo Jihoon's acting was bad at all.

Points from Netflix's 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' that receives positive responses

-The surgery scenes are filmed in a way that immerses viewers.

-There are no love lines, minimal personal backstories, and it also has refreshing storylines.

Commenter #6: I like how the drama doesn't have any romance or unnecessary subplots. It's focusing entirely on the surgeries.

As a medical professional watching Netflix's 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call', here's my review:

1. I like that there are no love lines and it looks like there won't be any in the future.

(The original author, Lee Nakjoon, isn't good at writing romance)

2. Joo Jihoon, Choo Youngwoo, Hayoung, etc fit their roles perfectly.

3. The surgery scenes are fascinating and accurate, even for someone like me who works in the medical field.

4. It reminds me of the panic and chaotic atmosphere in the ER during my intern days.

5. The story progresses quickly and there are a lot of satisfying moments.

6. I'm proud that Netflix's first original medical drama is a K-Drama.

7. The only downside is that it took me 8 episodes to realize that they haven't even started filming Season 2 yet.

Baek Kanghyuk's character reflects the reality of trauma centers and also the author's hopes.

In reality, many trauma centers are severely under-resourced and they need superhuman doctors like Baek Kanghyuk to keep them running.

Additionally, the author, who is actually a doctor, has witnessed numerous death cases in his career. Through this drama, he expressed the hope that if a superhuman like Baek Kanghyuk existed, countless lives could be saved...

Dr. Woo Changyoon left a review for 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

But seriously though, point #1...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

theqoo

-I was going to watch it because I like medical dramas, but I probably won’t because of the actor.

-I'm gonna watch it today.

-It's so good. I watched all 8 episodes in one sittingㅋㅋ

-I started watching yesterday and ended up watching up to Episode 5 without realizing itㅋㅋ It’s really good.

-It’s such a well-made medical drama. The acting is amazing.

-My mom and I finished all 8 episodes in one day yesterday. 8 episodes is too shortㅠㅠ Please give us Season 2.

-Choo Youngwoo is such a great actor.

-If it weren't for that actor, I would've watched it... What a shame.

-It was easy to watch. There were no personal stories about the patients or doctors, it was just about surgeriesㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Surgery scenes have improved so much these days. They’re incredibly realistic. How did they do that?

-It's fun. Give us season 2.

-I've heard a lot of good reviews. I should watch it.

-I’m watching it now, and it’s really good!!!

-The original author is a doctor? Wow.

-I loved how realistic it was. I'm glad it has no romance subplots.

Netflix drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' receives positive reactions after release

It's a drama adaptation of a Webtoon, starring Joo Jioon, that was released on January 24.

It still has some typical Korean medical drama vibes, just a bit lessㅋ A lot of people are watching it because it feels like a fantasy drama. It's childish and comedic, but the actors do a good job. Many people started watching it during the Lunar New Year holiday because there was nothing else to watch, but they ended up binge-watching it.

Here's the trailer:

theqoo

-I'm not watching it because of Joo Jihoon.

-I like Choo Youngwoo. I'll check this out.

-It's been a while since I've enjoyed a Netflix show this much. Honestly, he suits that character perfectly.

-I spent the whole day watching this..

-I heard it's fun, I guess I'll watch this too.

-How many episodes are out so far?

-It's fun and absolutely well-made. I watched it up to episode 8 straightㅋㅋㅋ It's probably the best drama I've watched recently.

-I started watching because of Choo Youngwoo. First of all, it's really fun!!

-The real doctors are currently on a strike and now we're glorifying them again?? Besides, they cast an actor with a drug scandal??

-I re-subscribed to Netfllix just to watch this.

-I watched all 8 episodes in one sitting. It was so freaking fun. This is my first time watching Choo Youngwoo and I think he's an amazing actor.

-I've watched up to Episode 3. It's so freaking fun, I'm watching it slowly to save it...ㅋㅋㅋ

-My mom said it was boring.

-I heard the writer is a real doctor, so I have high expectations. It sounds interesting, I'm gonna watch it oo.

-It's a really good drama. I watched it all in one sitting.

-I'm currently watching this dramaㅋㅋㅋ I loved the Webtoon and I think the drama adaptation is well made.
