A shocking story was revealed on 'Crime Chief' about an actor who had promised marriage to a woman, but actually turned out to already be married.

On the afternoon of the 17th, JTBC 'Crime Chief' covered the story of a woman in her 30s, identified as A, who dated actor B after being deceived by his lies. B dated A while hiding the fact that he was married, and even after he was caught, he lied again by claiming that he was divorced despite still being legally married.

According to the episode, A met B a year ago when she want to see a play. From there, the two of them developed a romantic relationship.

At the time, B claimed his parents were wealthy and ran a famous restaurant. He said, "My parents oppose my acting career, so I live in the practice studio," and "I wanted to succeed without my parents' help."

A grew fond of B and later she introduced him to her parents. B also formally greeted her parents, saying, "I am dating (her) with marriage in mind." He was essentially accepted as a 'future-son-in-law' and began to live together with A.

Following this, A's parents actively supported B. With the thoughts of 'taking good care of their future-son-in-law,' A's parents even sent coffee trucks to the theater where he performed and provided lunch boxes for his fellow actors. Whenever A and B fought over living expenses, A's parents never hesitated to help financially.

However, even after a year of dating, B avoided introducing A to his parents. Despite A's repeated requests, B refused, saying, "I want to meet my parents only after I succeed."

Meanwhile, A learned from one of B's acquaintances that he had been married in the past. When A confronted him, B finally confessed, "I was married once, but I'm already divorced."

A was furious and demanded, "Give me back everything you've received from me and my parents." B apologized while crying and kneeling on the floor. Feeling sympathetic, A decided to give B another chance.

However, A soon discovered an even bigger truth. After hearing more hints from acquaintances, she went directly to the restaurant run by B's parents. There, she learned the shocking truth that his claim of being divorced was a lie. He was actually still a married man who is separated from is wife.

Throughout the relationship, A had believed B when he repeatedly asked for money with excuses like, "My credit card bills are overdue," "I'm short on rent," or "I need clothes for auditions," and had supported him with tens of millions KRW. A's parents also continued their support, believing his claim that a wedding date would soon be set.

Lawyer Park Jihoon commented, "Since he obtained financial benefits by deceiving A, there is a possibility of fraud charges. A civil lawsuit seeking damages from illegal acts is also possible."

On the other hand, Lawyer Shin Yujin advised, "Not only emotional damage, but also financial losses can be recovered if she can prove how the money was transferred. She can get it back through a loan repayment lawsuit."
