The reason why Park Jaehyung mentioning DAY6 after his withdrawal from the band is total nonsense

DISCLAIMER: This is JUST a translation of a post that was uploaded on Theqoo. This does NOT reflect my views or opinions in any way about Jae and DAY6.

He's the first K-pop idol to hint his withdrawal with a tattoo

1597 = September 7, 2015, DAY6's debut date

211231 = December 31, 2021, his last day as a member of DAY6

At the time, DAY6 fans saw that tattoo and hoped it was just a coincidence.

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

First of all, we sincerely apologize for causing concern with this sudden news to our My Day fans who have been supporting DAY6. We regret to inform you that Jae, who has been with DAY6 until now, has decided to leave the team and terminate his exclusive contract as of December 31, 2021, due to personal circumstances.

We have had in-depth discussions with Jae over a long period and, after careful consideration, we have decided to respect his wishes and conclude the exclusive contract.

Although Jae's journey with us has come to an end, JYP Entertainment will always support his future endeavors as he starts a new chapter.

We promise to continue providing full support for DAY6's activities and will do our best to assist them. We ask for your continued generous support and love for DAY6 as always.

Thank you.

In reality, on January 1, 2022, right as the year changed, notice about his departure from the band was posted right awayㅋ...

The other 4 members also mentioned that once their contracts with JYP end, they wouldn’t renew and would leave the company to reform DAY6 as a 5-member band with him.

(During this process, not only the fans but the members were also going through a tough time as they had just started their military service.)

And then, as if to show off, in September 2022, during their military hiatus, all 4 members renewed their contracts.

Their performance of Time of Our Life in military uniforms on Immortal Songs became a huge hit and climbed back up to the music charts. After he left, only good things happened to the band and brought DAY6 to where they are right now.

-I didn't even know he was in DAY6

-Please... Stop mentioning DAY6 and just live your lifeㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-Sigh... If he didn't want to be erased, he should've at least done his best to finish his contract before leaving.

-This isn't just about DAY6, this applies to other groups too... Former members should only talk about wishing the best for each other instead of speak negatively in places where fans can hear... Isn't it disrespectful to the fans?

-Why is this trending again?ㅡㅡ I really wish it would just be forgotten as if it never happened.

-I thought he left the band during their early debut days. I didn't realize he was in the band for so long.

-It's just like how ex-employees should just send their resume to other companies to find new jobs. Talking about their old workplace would be... Well, really meaningless.

-Jae just didn’t fit the Korean sentiment and idol life. The group was great as a five-member group, but it's still great now. Each member’s abilities are outstanding. I hope Jae is now healthy and that everyone succeeds. Personally, I hope Jae isn’t hated too much since he was a part of DAY6 for a long time and contributed despite the controversies.

-Anyway, I’m just happy to see DAY6 shining now with just the four members... I hope Jae finds peace with his fans too.
