TEEN TOP C.A.P, "I deliberately caused a controversy. I wanted to leave the group due to my inferiority complex"
On the 11th, C.A.P talked about how he felt after he announced his departure from TEEN TOP on his Youtube channel.
C.A.P said, "I'm not okay. I'm not feeling good." He apologized to the fans saying, "I said I would discuss with you all about my departure from the group. However, I feel like I've already made up my mind and announced it without really having a discussion. I'm sorry for that." He continued, "I'm not apologizing to everyone, I'm only apologizing to those who had expectations on me."
(Cont'd)
C.A.P admitted that he had thoughts of leaving the group, saying, "I knew people would react this way when I announced it. I felt like the contracts were getting longer and that I was being pushed into a corner, causing me to end up making a drastic decision. I have secretly made the decision to leave on my own."
C.A.P continued, "Recently, I've been wanting to reach out to many people and ask for help, but I didn't have the courage to do so. I kept calling my teammates. I wanted to talk to them, but they were all busy and didn't have the time to talk. During the past 6 months, my inferiority complex was growing bigger. Inferiority complex comes from a sense of lacking or unfulfilled. It kept piling up and I felt like I was causing harm to those around me because of my own issues. I didn't want to hurt people around me because of my own problems."
Regarding his controversial remarks, he said, "Actually, I knew that it would stir controversy. Honestly, I tried to leave the company a few times. I thought it would be better to cause an accident first, then resolve it and leave the team. I would rather receive criticism from people because I believe those who understand me will understand. If I leave the group, the subject of criticism will disappear. That's why I thought it was okay for me to choose such an extreme way."

-It seems like he already told the company that he wanted to leave several times, but they didn't agree... I can totally understand him, but... Anyway, I hope he lives well... While doing the thing that he lovesㅠ
-I don't really want to say anything bad... I just wish him all the best...
-I just... I don't think I have anything to say because I can totally understand him. I also totally understand why fans are angry at him.
-I understand him. It's not easy to leave the group when fans have been desperately waiting for them to have a comeback.
-There are a lot of people who can't say no and end up running away...
-I understand that it's never easy for idols to leave their groups. Not only do they have to think about their fans' feelings, they also have to deal with the contracts. He had been wanting to leave the company, but he couldn't. This may not be the best way for him to leave the group, but imagine how desperate he was to leave that he had to do that.
-What kind of excuse is that? Even regular people get criticized heavily if they quit their job like that and now people are praising him for his 'courage'?...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ After he lashed out at a fan because he was pissed off...???
-It's not like he's a kid... He's a man in his 30s who even has completed his military service. And that is how he end things?? It seems like being a celebrity is not for him. Is it really that difficult to say 'I don't want to renew my contract'?? To the point that he had to cause a controversy just to leave...
-I would understand him if he was still in his early 20s. I just don't understand him, no matter how hard he tried to explain it. Anyway, I wish him all the best.
-That's not cool
-I can't imagine how much he must've wanted to leave that he had to do that. But still, he has betrayed his fans who helped him to be where he is right now. Honestly, I feel really bad for the fans.

Teen Top's C.A.P recent Instagram post
Hello. This is Bang Minsu.
First of all, I would like to apologize to those who were hurt by my words and actions.
I was aware that my actions were selfish, only thinking about myself despite knowing that it could cause controversy.
I knew that my behavior was also hurtful to my teammates, whom I've been closer to than my brothers for a long time, as well to those who believed in and supported me.
All this time, I felt like I had been wearing clothes that didn't fit me. Now, I want to take off those clothes and I ended up making the wrong actions. I have no excuse. It was entirely my fault and negligence.
I apologize to my teammates and company, who have understood even my immature behavior. I also apologize to the fans who may have been surprised and disappointed by my actions.
I hope that there will be no more harm to Teen Top members and company staff who have been working hard for the upcoming comeback. I sincerely apologize once again.
Thank you to everyone who has loved Teen Top's C.A.P. until now. I am truly grateful.
-For someone who doesn't feel like he suits to be an idol, he promoted for a really long time...
-Whoa... He must've really wanted to leave the group...
-I can totally understand him. I think quitting is the best option for him. I personally think it's better to just retire as an idol if he doesn't feel like it suits him.
-It must've been really hard for him all this time. I hope both C.A.P and his teammates are happy now.
-I sincerely hope he will find something he actually likes and live happily...
-I can't imagine how tough it must've been for him to force himself to do something that doesn't suit him...
-Forcing yourself to do something that doesn't fit you will only make you sick. No one else will take responsibility for your life anyway. I hope he will find and pursue something that makes him happy.
-I think him quitting the group was the best option for both himself and his group.
-He made the right decision. No matter how long you've been in the industry if it doesn't fit you, it will only harm your mental. It's the best for him to leave before that happens.
-He must've endured a lot, considering that he has been doing something that doesn't fit him for that long. I think it's the best way for both parties.
-If being an idol doesn't fit him, it's better to leave. We also resign and change jobs if it doesn't fit ourselves. It's harder for idols because of their contracts.
TEEN TOP's C.A.P leaves the group ... TOP Media "The group will continue activities with the remaining 4 members"
On the 11th, TOP Media announced, "After discussions with the members, C.A.P. decided to leave the group as of today." As a result, Teen Top will continue activities with 4 members, Chunji, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo.
Previously, C.A.P. had caused controversy for inappropriate behavior as he was swearing during a live broadcast. There were concerns that this could harm the group as they were preparing for a full-group comeback.
TOP Media apologizes as they stated, "We deeply apologize for the concern caused to many people by C.A.P's reckless words and actions." They continued, "We will provide further information regarding the comeback after discussing it with the members."

-It's the best way for both parties anyway...
-Seriously, though. I don't think he suits to be an idol. I think he may be better suited for something other than being an idol, I would be really happy to support him;; Not to mention that his physical figure didn't suit Teen Top. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Teen Top's new album.
-It sounds like a better decision than forcing himself to do something that he doesn't want to do. I hope he can live comfortably while doing what he likes which is painting!
-That's great! I hope all of them can live happily while doing what they like to do...
-Hul... I can't believe he left just like that. It seems like they were nothing more than just work colleagues after all.
-There's nothing good from forcing him to stay when his heart is already somewhere elseㅋㅋ
-I didn't expect him to actually leave the group, but it seems like it's for the best. If he doesn't want to do it, why should he be forced to continue with the group activities just because there's still some time left in his contract? It's the job he chose when he was young, and people change their minds over time anyway.
-That's right... I think this is the best solution they could come up with...
-Nowadays, it's not necessarily better to forcibly maintain the original members. Times have changed. Kicking members like him could be the way to save the team.
-I love how they kick him out right awayㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-Looks like he really doesn't want to continue being an idol now...
-I didn't even know he was still in the group...

Teen Top's Cap swears during a live broadcast, "Contract ends in July, considering not participating in the group's comeback"
During a live broadcast on his personal Youtube channel 'Bad Boy', Teen Top's Cap communicated with his fans.
When a viewer left a comment asking him not to smoke during the broadcast, Cap responded, "Someone just said that I shouldn't smoke. Do you know why that pisses me off? First of all, there are people who don't even watch my broadcasts suddenly popping in just because my group is going to make a comeback and told me that I shouldn't be doing this here. Frankly, I don't like XX (Swearing)."
He continued, "Why do those people come to me and do XX (Swearing)? When I think about it, they're not even my fans but I'm still part of the team, so I'm worried that this might harm my team. If you didn't like what I did, you could've talked to me at least 6 months ago."
TOP Media has confirmed that Teen Top will be having a full-group comeback in July and is currently preparing for a new album. This album is their first release in three years since they released a special album in 2020. It will be released to celebrate the 13th anniversary of their debut.
During the live broadcast, Cap mentioned, "This may sound unbelievable to you but I'm thinking about not XX participating in the group's comeback. My contract with the agency ends in July."

-Isn't he the leader of that group...? This is shocking...
-I liked Teen Top since I was really young. He has always been like that, I'm not even surprised at all.
-Then don't (participate in the comeback);;ㅋ
-I used to be a fan of Teen Top and went to their fansign several times. His personality has always been that bad.
-Does he not even think of his teammates?? He's the leader of the group... What was he thinking;; Being in an idol group is like being in a group project...
-I remember how shocked I was when he said on a TV show that he would hit her daughter and keep her locked up at home if she had one... The fact that a person like that became an idol...
-Then you should leave the group. What did the other members do wrong to deserve this?
-Why is he living his life like that...
-He has always had such a bag image... Why is he still in the group after all this time?ㅋㅋ
-I'd rather have Teen Top cancel their comeback than have you be a part of it...
-I can't imagine how pissed off the other members are to hear this... Oh Gosh, you don't even have to worry about us... Just leave the group.
-He's still in the group?
