The person who sat next to a the child alone at IU's concert

There Was a Child Sitting Next to Me Alone at IU's Concert

She seemed like an elementary student...? She gave me snacks and told me it was her first time going to a concert, she also asked me to take care of her. She really enjoyed the concert and when it ended, I helped with her belongings. She told me that she was waiting for her guardian to come. I told her it was fun and to go home safely. When I got home, I noticed there was a letter from her mother in the snacks.

Hello, UAENA! I'm the mother of a young fan who came to IU's concert for the first time. She was lucky enough to succeed in getting the ticket. Since it's one seat per ticket, I had to send my daughter alone. Although she has a guardian nearby, her seat is not close enoughㅠㅠ (Unfortunately, I failed to get a ticket myselfㅠㅠ).

Honestly, I was very worried about sending my daughter alone. I was worried if it was safe for her to go to a concert alone at such a young age... And also if it would cause inconvenience to others. But seeing my daughter so happy because she loves IU so much, I couldn't bring myself to cancel the ticket.

I have taught her concert ettiquete as much as possible! But since neither her dad nor I have ever been to a concert, I'm worried if what we have taught her is not enough.

If there are any mistakes my daughter makes unknowingly, please kindly let her know in a friendly manner. And if she does make a mistake, she may not know because it's her first time at a concert. I apologize and ask your forgiveness with a generoud heart.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable concert experience. Thank you for reading this long message.

-It's so touching 🥺

-I'm cryingㅠㅠ I hope this UAENA mother and daughter can come together to IU's concert next time...

-I'm crying as I ride the last train to go back home...

-Wow... That's really touching. I hope that child had fun at the concert.

-I'm cryingㅠㅠㅠ

-I'm tearing upㅜㅜㅜ I hope that baby had a lot of fun at the concert!

-Her mother is really thoughtfulㅠㅠㅠ

-This is very heart-warmingㅠㅠㅠ

-Things like this make me cryㅠㅠㅠ

-I bet both that baby and her mother are so happy because the OP took a good care of her!

-That mother must be such a wonderful person...

-Asking the other fans to take care of her and handing out snacks because it's her first time going to a concertㅠㅠ It's something that even adults don't doㅠㅠ That baby is going to grow up into a good person. To her mother, you've raised your child really well.

-I wonder if that baby enjoyed the concertㅠㅠ

-I'm cryingㅠㅠ I hope today becomes a core memory for that baby...

-It's a relief that baby met a kind UANEA who sat next to her...

-It must've been a day full of happiness for that baby UAENA🥺💜

-Guys, I have a daughter in 2nd grade. That paper is from a school-supplied notebooksㅠㅠ

-I just know that child was extremely polite even without meeting her. Did she have a good time?

-So heartwarmingㅠㅠㅠ I hope that baby UAENA made it home safelyㅠㅠ

-It's heartwarming to know that the person who sat next to her during the concert helped her with their belongings and waited until her guardian arrivedㅠㅠㅠ

-That baby UAENA must've been so happy. Just the thoughts of her talking about the concert to her mom is so adorableㅠㅠ

-I thought I was the only one cryingㅠㅠㅠ I hope it became a good memory for the babyㅠㅠㅠ

-If I get a letter like that, I'll definitely keep itㅠㅠㅠ

Lee Hwarim (Kim Goeun)'s Chanting Scene in 'Exhuma'

Jang Jaehyun (Director): Kim Go-eun is a truly remarkable actress. During the filming, I felt that somehow she manages to capture the essence of what shamans do, whether it's bending the tone or making her voice huskier. She really nailed even the small details. Seeing her commitment, I thought, "Ah, she's definitely a veteran!"

theqoo

-Her articulation is really good...

-Wow... This makes me want to watch the movie againㅠㅠ

-Her husky voice in that scene is seriously so cool.

-That shaman ritual scene is seriously so goodㅠㅠㅠ It gives me chills...

-I watched this movie twice because I wanted to see that shaman ritual scene againㅠㅠㅠ

-I watched this movie twice because I truly loved her performance here

-Is he holding a mic or a harmonica?

-She really does sound like a shaman in that scene. It's very impressive.

-I loved this part so much, I wanted to see it again.

-I heard she kept re-doing this scene until she felt it was right. She absolutely nailed this scene. Her articulation, vocalization, and acting were all great. She's such a great actress.

-She sounds like someone who knows how to sing. She sounds really amazing.

-It would be great if they released that chant as part of the original soundtrackㅜㅜ

-She suits Lee Hwarim's role perfectlyㅠㅠ I want to watch that scene again.

-This scene is so good that it gives me goosebumps...

-I can't get this scene out of my head...

-I watched this movie with my parents and they couldn't stop praising Kim Goeun.

-This scene is one of the reasons why I came back to the cinema to watch this movie for the second time.

-This part is absolutely my favoriteㅠㅠ I'm totally into Kim Goeun after watching it.

"The reason Korean women are reluctant to give birth..." BBC journalist's speech sparks discussion

Mackenzie stated about the reasons why Korean women are reluctant to give birth, "Korean women give up childbirth because they understand the reality of what it means to become a mother in Korea. If awareness of reality prevents childbirth, then what needs to change is 'reality' itself."

She continued, "Many women are faced with situations where they cannot afford childbirth, such as long working hours and having to choose between childbirth and a career. Apart from these situations, many women would have willingly chosen pregnancy and childcare."

She also said, "What they wanted was not more government support. They wanted a change in the reality where they can have more flexible working hours, where spouses can also share childcare responsibilities, and where they do not have to choose between home and work."

theqoo

-Even foreigners know. Only the Korean government and Korean men don't.

-Exactly.

-No matter how many times you say it, it's totally meaningless in this countryㅋㅋㅋ

-Frankly, everyone knows that. They just pretend not toㅋㅋㅋ

-Why does everyone seem to not understand that it's not about money? It's because of the reality where women bear the burden of childcare and household chores, even while working. That makes them reluctant to get married and give birth.

-Even if you say the same thing over and over again, they won't listen.

-I bet the government will just miss the point and think, "So we need to strengthen childcare support by making it easier to hire babysitters from foreign countries at a low cost." What a joke.

-The least the government can do about this is implementing flexible working hours.

-We should just go extinct at this point. These have been pointed out for ages, but everyone pretends not to know.

-Besides, it's really hard to find someone who's willing to share childcare these days. It's not about not wanting to have children. Living life is already hard enough.

-That's true. In addition, the prejudice against Korean men is growing due to dating violence, revenge porn, and sex trafficking.

-Let's be honest, for South Korea to survive, the government needs to immediately educate people about the importance of human rights, even if it has to be done forcibly through law. As long as the word "feminism" is treated like hate, there is no future for Korea.

-Let's just study foreign languages so that we can escape this country when it collapses.

-True. Why bother having a children if it means I have to give up everything in my life?

The pain you feel during menstuation is caused by the absorbency of your sanitary pad

Hul. My friend just told me that the pain you feel during menstruation is caused by the absorbency of your sanitary pad. So, I searched online and found out that it's true that strong absorbency can cause pain. I've been using super absorbent pads all this time.

100% It's because of the sanitary pad ❌

The polymer absorbent in sanitary pads can be one of the factors causing menstrual pain ⭕️

When choosing sanitary pads, knowledge is also necessary. Some women say, "When wearing a sanitary pad, it feels like the uterus is sagging and hurts down there." Many women complain of discomfort and pain associated with wearing sanitary pads. The 'polymer absorbent' inside the sanitary pad may be the cause. This substance has the advantage of quickly absorbing menstrual blood. However, some women may experience a 'rejection reaction.' If there is discomfort associated with wearing sanitary pads, it's advisable to check the back. If there is polymer absorbent present, it's better to avoid it.

Pads using polymer absorbents offer excellent absorption, preventing leaks and providing a comfortable, dry feeling. However, the issue lies in their excessive absorbency. Prolonged use of such pads can worsen menstrual pain due to excessive gravity. Feeling like your insides are sagging during menstruation could also be due to the properties of the polymer absorbents, which draw moisture.

The absorbents in sanitary pads have the strong ability to absorb moisture, which can even take away the necessary moisture from the vagina. If you experience a severe pain during menstruation, trying a different pad might be helpful.

theqoo

-How is it possible for absorbents to absorb moisture from your body?ㅋㅋㅋ Bring some scientific research instead of pseudoscienceㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-But if you experience pain in your lower abdomen during your period, changing your pads might be worth to try. I don't know if it's because of the absorbents or whatsoever, but changing pads does make the pain intensity different.

-I used menstrual cups for 10 years. It was good at first, but then it started to make me get irritations. I learned that sanitary pads made out of cotton are the best, even though washing them is a pain in the ass.

-Damn, are sanitary pads vacuum cleaners?

-The real problem is sanitary pads will eventually leak...

-I got a pelvic inflammatory disease from using menstrual cups for 2 yearsㅠㅠ For those who use menstrual cups, you should pay attention to your hygiene.

-I've been using sanitary pads made out of cotton for more than 10 years and I still feel pain during my period. I don't think sanitary pads are the problem here.

-It's true, though. I felt so much better after switching from regular pads to cotton sanitary pads.

-Does this even make sense?

-Sounds like a pseudoscience...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Try putting a pad in your mouth and see if your saliva dries up

-That makes sense. I hardly feel any pain during my period when I use tampons.

-The pain you feel during your period is caused by the uterus moving to make the things attached to the wall fall off. What do sanitary pads have to do with it?ㅋㅋㅋ

-If that's not the case, you should get tested for uterine fibroids or ovarian cysts.

-The article I read warned that the longer you wear sanitary pads, the more chemicals can come ut of them. Chemical absorbents can have harmful effects when they enter your vagina. Since they have the strong ability to absorb, it can also absorb the good bacteria in your vagina, which can cause irritation in your vagina. Additionally, chemical absorbents swell into transparent and gel-like shapes. It can disrupt the airflow in your vagina and lead to hygiene issues.

-There are people who believe this kind of nonsenseㅋㅋㅋ It's not like sanitary pads are vacuum cleaners...

The Japanese Ghost in 'Exhuma', Kim Byung-oh "220cm Tall Actor... Not CG"

The identity of the extremely vile character in the movie turned out to be actor Kim Byung-oh, a former basketball player. Making a shocking impression in the latter part of the movie 'Exhuma,' he boasts an overwhelming presence as tall as his 220cm stature.

His appearance is said to be contributing to the success of the film. The movie 'Exhuma,' released on the 22nd of last month (directed by Jang Jae-hyun), surpassed 7 million viewers in just 16 days (as of March 8). It has become the highest-grossing occult genre film in Korea, surpassing director Na Hong-jin's 'The Wailing' (6.87 million viewers).

Kim Byung-oh laughed, saying, "These days, my friends are sending me a lot of messages saying, 'Let's eat sweetfish.'"

"People around me often call me the '6 million actor' or '7 million actor,' but it's quite embarrassing. It's a bit awkward to be called an actor, but I feel good when I hear that people enjoyed the movie. Just the day before yesterday, I was eating sashimi when my friend said, 'Shouldn't you eat sweetfish?"

The scene where he emerges from the grave and chews on a sweetfish is what made Kim Byung-oh's portrayal of the Japanese ghost in the movie even more eerie.

"The sweetfish that came out of the ground and was squeezed by hand was actually alive. It had a strong smell. However, the sweetfish that I chewed on was actually jelly prepared by the art team."

In fact, Kim Byung-oh's presence symbolizes the 'realism within unreality' that director Jang Jae-hyun portrays. By filling in things that can be expressed with CG with actual objects, it added a sense of weight to the viewing experience. Kim Byung-oh mentioned, "When I was cast, I thought, 'Why do they need me? It could be done with CG,'"

"'Avatar' and similar movies have CG that can make small people look like they're 3m to 4m in size, right? So, when I was cast, I wondered why I was needed. However, as I watched the movie, I understood. Ah! This is it! It took 6 hours to put on makeup on my hands, feet, and face, and 2 hours to remove it. That's how much effort was put into the direction."

Director Jang Jae-hyun cast Kim Byung-oh, a former basketball player who holds the title of second tallest person in Korea, to actually realize the charismatic 'vile' tall figure. The goblin fire that appears with the Japanese ghost in the latter part of the film was also not CG but an actual object.

"That goblin fire was real too. It was something big hanging on a crane and spinning around, and the cold set became warmer."

'Exhuma' received heated attention with the passionate performances of actors such as Choi Min-sik, Kim Go-eun, Yoo Hae-jin, and Lee Do-hyun. The behind-the-scenes stories with them are also interesting. Kim Byung-oh said, "Watching the actors' performances gave me goosebumps."

"There is a scene where I approach menacingly and Kim Go-eun starts to tremble and sob, but as soon as we said 'action,' she suddenly immersed herself in the scene, and it gave me chills. I thought, 'It's cool, I want to try acting too.'"

Senior actors Choi Min-sik and Yoo Hae-jin treated rookie actor Kim Byung-oh with warm consideration.

"It was tough to act barefoot and barehanded on a cold day in the mountains, and Choi Min-sik even brought me a portable heater, and Yoo Hae-jin came to me alone, spoke to me warmly, and took care of me so that I could feel comfortable on set."

theqoo

-Hul... So the fire was real

-So it was a former basketball player who turned into an actor...

-He must be bigger than a door

-It's even more surprising that the fire ball was real...

-220cm...??? Really...?

-The friends who told him to eat sweetfish are so meanㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-It must've been really hard for him to act barefoot in such weatherㅠㅠ

-The character also used two different voice actors. One Japanese voice actor for the Japanese lines and one Korean voice actor for the monster noises.

-The body was Kim Byung-oh's, the face was Kim Minjoon's, and the voice was Morita Takayama's. He's a famous Japanese actor who starred in Detective Conan.

-Both the article and the comments here are really informativeㅋㅋㅋ

-It was filmed in the middle of winter and he acted barefootedㅠㅠ It must've been toughㅠㅠ

-It didn't look like CG anyway...

-He worked so hard... It's a relief that the movie turned out really well.

-It was actually jelly? That's cuteㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-I naturally thought he was a CG... I didn't expect him to be a real human...

Why Korea Doesn't Have Extreme Obesity

Because they will die from complications of diabetes before it gets to this point.
The pancreatic function of Asians is 50% lower compared to Westerners.

-Oh, there was a scientific reason behind it! I thought it would be because of social pressure (self-consciousness) just by reading the title.

-Right... We can't bear it until it gets to that point.

-Oh... I didn't know that

-I bet their spine, knees, and ankles must be really painful

-Pancreas...ㅠㅠ

-Oh, so that's why...

-Right, it's better to die before it gets to that point...

-Weak pancreas... If that's the case, it should've started hurting before it gets to that point.

-Ah... I should manage myselfㅠㅠㅠ

-Our pancreas is like a fragile glas...

-Rather than due to illness or genetic reasons, could extreme morbid obesity like that caused by diet? I'm curious.

-In Korea, while it is relatively less compared to Western countries, extreme morbid obesity is emerging. According to recent analysis, 2 out of 5 Korean adults are obese, and the prevalence of 'extreme morbid obesity' has nearly tripled in the past decade, according to the research. The alarming increase in the prevalence of third-degree obesity among young age groups, particularly those in their 20s to 40s.

-They seem to have everything going well for them, even their pancreas. I'm so jealous.
