On the episode of SBS' 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' aired on the 12th, the sharply contrasting daily lives of former basketball player Chon Taepoong and his wife were revealed.
In the broadcast, it was shown that childcare and housework were largely the wife's responsibility. While Chon Taepoong was still asleep in the early morning hours, his wife got up alone to prepare meals for their three children and take care of sending them to school. After sending the children off on an empty stomach while still in her pajamas, she then drove for more than two hours to return home, drawing sympathy from viewers.
Meanwhile, Chon Taepoong admitted that he has almost never handled the morning childcare routine. His wife said, "I tried leaving the housework to my husband, but it actually made things harder," explaining why she ended up taking over all the chores and childcare herself.
Later, the scene showed Chon Taepoong returning home late after drinking. He smoked on the house terrace, which shocked the panelists, saying, "If you're a father of three, quitting smoking would be the right thing to do." Chon Taepoong reflected, "I haven't been able to change that much yet. I need to change more."
The real issue was his behavior afterward. While still smelling of alcohol and cigarettes, without even washing his hands, he approached his sleeping wife to attempt physical affection. His wife felt uncomfortable and rejected him, revealing a disconnect between the couple regarding physical intimacy.
The couple's story about 'showering together' also became a hot topic. The wife revealed, "He spits in the shower. That completely ruins the mood." Chon Taepoong responded, "I didn't know why I did that. I'm going to get kicked out now," and admitted, "I need better mind control," lowering his head in embarrassment.
