All five NewJeans members have decided to file an appeal.
On the 30th, Law Firm Sejong, the legal representative for Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, announced, "Today, the Seoul Central District Court delivered its first trial verdict in favor of ADOR, ruling that the exclusive contracts between the members and ADOR remain valid."
They continued, "While the members respect the court's decision, it is impossible for them to return to ADOR and continue normal entertainment activities, given the current situation where the relationship of trust with the agency has been completely broken."
They added, "Therefore, the members plan to immediately appeal the first trial ruling with the hope that the appellate court will comprehensively review all the facts and legal issues surrounding the contract termination to deliver a wise judgment."
