Regarding this, he confessed, "Contrary to my bright image, I suffered from extreme loneliness and mental stress." He added, "I developed an obsession with the idea that I always had to be upright and kind everywhere I went."

The pressure and stress eventually led to panic disorder and even physical paralysis. He shared, "I had panic disorder and experienced paralysis in my arms, fingers, and legs, along with a herniated disc in my neck. At one point, I lost sensation on one side of my face." He also revealed that for three months during that time, he couldn't even eat regular meals and survived only on porridge.

Now, Eric Nam has returned to music and resumed his activities. He stated, "While preparing for this album, I wrote about 80 songs. This time, the theme is 'loneliness.'"
